The Grand Opening event will unveil the Interactive Learning Center, one of the first in the country. The center features trailblazing technology that will transform Holocaust education and preserve the testimonies and memories of Holocaust survivors for generations to come. The Interactive Learning Center will feature Interactive Smart Tables known as “intelligence furniture.” These Smart Tables will include artifacts, documents, and memorabilia of the Holocaust Documentation & Education Center’s Archival Collection and six oral history stations to enable visitors to access the USC Shoah Foundation’s Visual History Archive of 55,000+ Oral Histories and the Holocaust Documentation and Education Center’s collection as well. The Interactive Learning Center will also feature a 5,000-volume Holocaust Library and two mini theatres to showcase Dimensions in Testimony (DITs) Holocaust survivor interactive biographies produced by the USC Shoah Foundation.
