SUMMARY:The Poppy Project Pop-Up Living Garden at Galleria Fort Lauderdale
DESCRIPTION:Galleria Fort Lauderdale presents The Poppy Project Pop-Up Living Garden in support of Henderson Behavioral Health (HBH) in collaboration with the USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD28) Support Committee. This public art initiative is designed to honor veterans while raising awareness and funds for critical mental health services. Shoppers can take colorful photos and selfies to share online and connect with and donate to HBH’s virtual Legacy Wall which encourages friends and families to honor loved ones who have served or are currently serving our country. The cherished photo opportunity with the larger-than-life artistic poppy flowers will run through November 10 at Galleria Fort Lauderdale (2414 East Sunrise Blvd.). \nDesigned by South Florida based Ingham Landscaping and presented by Galleria Fort Lauderdale\, the two-month living garden will be a colorful and lively setting featuring the five-and 6-foot striking handcrafted fiberglass poppy flowers which are a remembrance of those who protect and serve our country. The inside mall garden will include a variety of tropical ornamental plants and shrubs that will complement the artistic poppy works of art. \nAdding to the installation\, will be “Soldier Stories\,” an exclusive exhibition by award-winning artist Marilyn Johansen honoring veterans and the military. Visitors will also be encouraged to select free postcards and add a personal message to current servicemen and women. This special moment is arranged by the USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD28) Support Committee. Special retail offers will coincide with this community project. \nInspired by the poppy’s historical significance as a symbol of sacrifice\, rooted in the World War I poem “In Flanders Fields\,” and later adopted as a national emblem of remembrance\, HBH’s The Poppy Project brings this tradition to life in a local and meaningful way. \nThe effort is sponsored by key community partners and supporters including The Leo Goodwin Foundation\, Arlene Pecora\, the Henderson Behavioral Health Board of Directors\, Florida Power & Light Company (FPL)\, USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD28) Support Committee\, Community Foundation of Broward\, Disabled American Veterans-Gold Coast Chapter 133\, Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale and Galleria Fort Lauderdale. \nTo learn more\, call (954) 564-1015 or visit www.galleriamall-fl.com.

SUMMARY:Meet Your Hormones: Mean or Misunderstood?
DESCRIPTION:Are women’s hormones mean\, or just misunderstood? They have come to explain themselves to our Venice audience on Wednesday\, October 14\, when Nancy Gauvreau\, the show’s creator and leader\, presents “Meet Your Hormones: Mean or Misunderstood?”\, a live\, interactive women’s hormone workshop that is part entertainment\, part education\, part empowerment. \n“Yes\, my goal is to impart relevant\, practical information in a playful way\, but most of all I want every guest\, regardless of gender\, to leave better able to communicate about women’s hormones – women without sounding defensive\, and men without sounding patronizing.” – Nancy Gauvreau \nOne audience member added after she and her husband attended the show\, “My husband has tried many different ways of understanding my hormones\, and despite our conversations\, it had never landed. After Meet Your Hormones\, HE GETS IT! And we\’re still using what we learned from the workshop to talk about it successfully.” \nWhy it resonates:\nWomen’s hormones shape their mood\, energy\, sleep and relationships\, yet even most women never get a plain-language explanation. “Meet Your Hormones” skips the medical jargon and brings the subject to life through performance\, humor and audience interaction. Everyone 16 and older is welcome. \nIf you cannot make October 14\, the next “Meet Your Hormones” show is in Englewood on October 18th at Spirit Speaks on Dearborn St. To RSVP call (734) 564-6828 \nOther Available “Meet Your Hormones” Formats:\nMeet Your Hormones: Mom+Teens Edition – FAMILY-FRIENDLY (For girls ages 11-15)\nMeet HER Hormones: Men-Only Workshops \nTo book a Meet Your Hormones workshop as a private gathering in your home or as an event for your organization\, contact Nancy Gauvreau at (941) 234-3678\, email info@ketosouls.com or at www.ketosouls.com \nAbout Nancy Gauvreau\, Creator of “Meet Your Hormones: Mean or Misunderstood?”\nNancy Gauvreau spent 27 years as a trusted and beloved middle school teacher\, before bringing that same gift for teaching to women’s hormone health as a Fast Like a Girl™ certified fasting coach\, trained under Dr. Mindy Pelz. Through that training\, she came to understand the personalities of women’s hormones and how they interact with one another – information she wished she’d had while growing up as well as during her menopausal years. Drawing on her background as a drama teacher and improv actor\, Nancy turned that missing education into something fun\, interactive and unforgettable\, and Meet Your Hormones was born. She is the founder of KetoSouls\, an online community for women’s health and happiness. In addition to leading Meet Your Hormones workshops\, she accepts a handful of women for private coaching\, to help them learn when and what to eat to support their hormones and tap into their bodies’ natural healing potential. \nURL:\nWebsite: https://evvnt.com/events/?_ev_id=3849774 \nDate and Time: On Wednesday October 14\, 2026 at 19:00 – 20:30 \nVenue details: The Island Bookshop\, 206 Miami Avenue West\, Venice\, Florida\, 34285\, United States \nCategory: Lifestyle | Women \nPrice:\nGeneral Admission: USD 40.00
