SUMMARY:Choral Evensong at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church
DESCRIPTION:Join Timothy Brumfield\, and the Choir of St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church for a very special Eastertide Choral Evensong this Sunday at 6:00 PM. This is a free music event and everyone is warmly welcome. Bring your friends and family. This is one of the most beautiful and stirring services in the Episcopal Church – you won’t want to miss it. This will also be the last Choral Evensong until Fall. \n𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗚\nEvensong is perhaps one of the most beautiful of all services that comes out of the Anglican church. The service is quite literally a living history of our church and its traditions. Being basically Evening Prayer\, apart from a few prayers and scripture readings\, the service is sung by a choir and cantor. The office of Evensong traces its history of origin all the way back to Thomas Cranmer\, Archbishop of Canterbury during the reigns of Henry VIII\, Edward VI\, and Mary I under whose hand he was burned at the stake in Oxford during her attempt to return England to Catholicism. Cranmer was trying to figure out a way to reduce the number of services within a day as there was a series of services known as The Hours which required one to attend many services throughout the day. He ended up combining two of the final services of the day which were Vespers\, sung at sunset\, and Compline\, so called because it completed the day\, into one service. We find that the two major canticles of Evensong\, the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis\, come from Vespers and Compline respectfully. The form of the service\, with its psalms\, scripture\, collects\, and prayers\, originates from these two services and hasn’t changed too terribly much since first appearing in the 1549 Prayer Book.\nMany countless musical settings of the canticles and psalms have been composed throughout the centuries\, making the service of Evensong rich in musical diversity\, beauty\, and heritage\, and we in the Anglican Church are very blessed to have these services upon which to draw inspiration and guidance through their graceful elegance and tradition.\nOur Eastertide Choral Evensong will be held this Sunday evening at 6 PM. Music will include Edward Bairstow’s haunting setting of Let all Mortal Flesh Keep Silence\, canticle settings by David Hogan\, and Malcolm Boyle’s majestic Thou\, O God\, art Praised in Zion.\nChoral music performed of this caliber would normally be sung by concert choirs costing $50 or more in ticket price. At St. Gregory’s\, we are privileged and blessed to hear this glorious music sung in the setting for which it was intended\, the sacred and holy service of Choral Evensong\, as part of our usual schedule of liturgies.\nI hope you’ll take advantage of this incredible offering at St. Gregory’s and plan to attend on Sunday at 6 PM.\nTim Brumfield\, Director of Music Ministry\, Organist and Choirmaster\,\nCoordinator for Liturgy and the Arts

Teams compete against each other in Matches using the MLPlay™ format: \nMLPlay™ is an ingenious gameplay format that brings men and women together on a level playing court. In the MLPlay™ format team matches are composed of four 21-point games\, one women’s doubles\, a men’s doubles\, and the final two games consisting of mixed doubles. If both teams are tied at 2-2 after the 4 games are played\, they’ll go to a Dreambreaker™! In a Dreambreaker™ one person from each team plays singles against the other team’s player\, switching players every four rallies until someone gets to 21 and wins by two points. \nRules \nDUPR Divisions \nDUPR 20 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 20.99) \nDUPR 18 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 18.30) \n**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 5.10 to play in DUPR 18 \nDUPR 16 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 16.30) \n**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 4.60 to play in DUPR 16 \nDUPR 14 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 14.30) \n**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 4.10 to play in DUPR 14 \nDUPR 12 (The team’s aggregate DUPR must not exceed 12.30) \n**Maximum individual player DUPR cannot exceed 3.60 to play in DUPR 12 \nOnce a team registers for a Minor League Pickleball event\, their ratings are “locked” and their DUPR increasing or decreasing will not impact the team’s aggregate or division placement. \nTo sign up for any Minor League event\, a DUPR account is required at the time of registration. Not rated players can play; however\, their estimated rating will be verified by the tournament director. \nSingle Registrations\nIf you are registering as a single registration but are already part of a team\, please notate Team Name AND the DUPR Division. SUMMARY:Comedian Matt Iseman Live In Naples\, Florida!
DESCRIPTION:Emmy Award-winning host\, comedian\, and self-proclaimed “professional talker\,” Matt Iseman has made a career out of making people laugh while somehow sneaking in a little inspiration along the way. Best known as the energetic host of American Ninja Warrior and a fan favorite winner of The New Celebrity Apprentice with Arnold Schwarzenegger\, Matt brings the same charm\, quick wit\, and larger-than-life personality to the stand-up stage that have made him a household name.\nBefore comedy\, Matt graduated from Princeton University and earned his M.D. from Columbia University-only to realize that telling jokes was a lot more fun than writing prescriptions. Trading the hospital for Hollywood\, he’s since appeared on shows ranging from Clean House to The Today Show\, The Kelly Clarkson Show\, and quite possibly the most memorable turn with his win on Lip Sync Battle\, proving his comedic versatility across TV and live audiences alike.\nKnown for his clean\, relatable humor and infectious positivity\, Matt draws from his unique journey-from doctor to entertainer\, cancer survivor to TV personality-to deliver a show that’s as uplifting as it is hilarious. Whether he’s sharing behind-the-scenes tales from the Ninja Warrior course or poking fun at his own life choices\, Matt’s comedy is a reminder that laughter really is the best medicine… even when prescribed by a guy who quit being a doctor. \nURL:\nTickets: https://go.evvnt.com/3574423-0?pid=12123 \nDate and Time: Friday\, 24 April 2026 at 18:30 – Sunday\, 26 April 2026 at 19:30 \nVenue details: Off The Hook Comedy Club\, 2500 Vanderbilt Beach Road\, Naples\, Florida\, 34109\, United States \nCategory: Arts | Performing Arts | Comedy \nPrices:\nGeneral Admission: USD 25.00\,\nVIP Admission: USD 35.00 \nArtist: Matt Iseman

Rounding out the powerhouse lineup are Kenny Aron off(drums)\, Marco Mendoza(bass)\, and Pete Thorn(guitar)\, creating a stellar quintet of world-class musicians. More than just a band\, SATCHVAI is a supercharged fusion of guitar-driven mastery\, chemistry\, and creative fire. \nAbout Joe Satriani \nFor over three decades\, the guitar virtuoso has traveled the world\, playing to sold-out crowds as both a headliner and as founder of the all-star “G3” guitar extravaganza. Satriani’s studio and live recordings have sold more than 10 million copies worldwide to date\, and of his many solo albums\, two have gone platinum and four others have gone gold\, with 15 Grammy nominations between them. He launched his annual “G4 Experience” in 2014\, bringing aspiring guitarists together for four days of workshops\, mentor sessions\, and live performances\, providing an exclusive learning platform led by him and his accomplished peers. In 2021\, he introduced the “Crystal Planet” comic series\, a five-part opus interweaving the realms of music and art. The tour documentary “Beyond the Supernova\,” directed by ZZ Satriani and currently available for streaming\, offers an intimate behind-the-scenes glimpse that intricately chronicles his life\, illuminating the profound dedication that fuels his guitar mastery. His side project\, Chickenfoot\, featuring former Van Halen front man Sammy Hagar\, former bassist Michael Anthony and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ drummer Chad Smith saw their debut album certified gold and their second studio album debuted at #9. Satriani released his 19th studio album\, The Elephants of Mars\, in April 2022. It was a busy 2024 for Joe Satriani as he embarked on the highly anticipated G3 Reunion tour alongside the original powerhouse line-up: Satriani\, Eric Johnson\, and Steve Vai. This was followed by the Satch/Vai duo tour\, where the longtime friends not only shared the stage but also unveiled a new musical collaboration together. Rounding out the year\, Satriani joined forces with Sammy Hagar\, Michael Anthony and Jason Bonham for the Best of All Worlds tour\, which sold out arenas nationwide and was met with widespread fan and critical acclaim. \nAbout Steve Vai \nSteve Vai is a virtuoso guitarist\, composer and producer\, considered by many as one of the greatest guitarists of all time. In over 45 years in the industry\, Vai has sold over 15 million records\, received three Grammy Awards\, and recorded with music legends like Frank Zappa\, David Lee Roth\, White snake and many more. Over the course of his 43 years touring\, he continues to visit locations for the first time. His final excursion in 2023 saw Vai perform in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)\, Kaohsiung (Taiwan)\, Zallak (Bahrain)\, Bangalore and Kolkata (India)\, alongside six new markets in China (Foshan\, Xi’an\, Chengdu\, Chongqing\, Nanjing and Hefei). In 2024\, BEAT (Adrian Belew\, Tony Levin\, Danny Carey\, Steve Vai) staged 65 North American appearances. The ensemble will travel to South America for additional performances in 2025. \nAbout Animals As Leaders \nAnimals As Leaders is an American instrumental progressive metal band formed in Washington\, D.C. in 2007 by virtuoso guitarist Tosin Abasi.
