SUMMARY:‘No Seasoning’ Art Exhibition Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:The Copperbridge Foundation\, in partnership with NAEMI\, presents No Seasoning\, a historic group exhibition that explores racial discrimination\, marginalization\, and the layered stigmas faced by artists living outside traditional cultural\, social\, and institutional norms. \nNo Seasoning is a historic group exhibition presented at the Copperbridge Foundation headquarters\, featuring the work of seven Afro-descendant Cuban Outsider artists. Curated by independent curator and art critic Elvia Rosa Castro\, this exhibition marks the first presentation of its kind in Miami. \nCastro describes the exhibition as a “Ten-Minute Stop\,” offering viewers a pause for authenticity and unfiltered expression amid a world influenced by standardization\, censorship\, and lingering colonial structures. \nFeaturing works by Pedro Pablo Bacallao Perdomo\, Gloria de la Caridad García\, Misleidys Castillo\, Isaac Crespo\, Daldo Marte\, Luis Manuel Otero Alcántara\, and Martha Iris Pérez Santana\, the exhibition spans collage\, drawing\, sculpture\, and photography\, presenting a powerful and non-stereotypical vision of resilience and creative autonomy. \nThe exhibition will be on display at Copperbridge Foundation from February 27 through May 23\, 2026. \nThe works are drawn from the NAEMI Collection\, made possible through the generous support of Juan Martin\, NAEMI’s Executive Director. The exhibition will be accompanied by a specially designed catalogue and a series of public programs\, including a panel discussion\, documentary screenings\, and community-engaged initiatives. \nThe art exhibit would not have been made possible without the help of organizations like Broward Behavioral Health Coalition (BBHC) Inc.\, which provides a comprehensive system of care for substance use\, mental health\, and co-occurring disorders for individuals in Broward County. \nOther events and activities taking place during the exhibition will include: \nPanel Discussion on Wednesday\, March 4 at 6 p. m. to 9 p.m.: Elvia Rosa Castro will participate in a panel discussion\, Channeling Wellness Through the Arts\, alongside Silvia Quintana\, LMHC\, CAP\, CEO of Broward Behavioral Health Coalition. The discussion will explore how art contributes to wellness across diverse lived experiences and supports healing and recovery. \nDrumming Circle on Friday\, May 22 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.: South Florida Wellness Network will conduct a drumming circle led by a performer in recovery. This is a participatory experience inviting the audience to express and interact through drumming. This event will mark the closing of the exhibition. \nNo Seasoning: Artworks by Seven Afro-Descendant Cuban Outsider Artists Exhibit:\nFebruary 27 – May 23\, 2026\nMonday – Friday\, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. \nPanel Discussion – ‘Channeling Wellness Through the Arts’\nWednesday\, March 4\, 2026\n6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. \nSouth Florida Wellness Network Drumming Circle\nFriday\, May 22\, 2026\n6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. \nDETAILS: The opening reception is free. SUMMARY:Guy Harvey: The Documentary (FLIFF World Premiere Screening and Reception)
DESCRIPTION:The documentary follows Dr. Guy Harvey’s transformation from an inquisitive boy into a prominent advocate for ocean conservation. Growing up in Jamaica and trained as a marine biologist\, he dedicated his life to the creatures that first ignited his imagination\, capturing their beauty and power in striking artwork of ocean life that has become just as iconic. However\, beneath the surface of his paintings lies a more profound narrative\, one of commitment\, discipline\, and a lifelong mission to safeguard the waters that have given him purpose. What started as childhood sketches of blue marlins evolved into a global initiative where art\, science and conservation intertwine. This film explores that journey\, presenting a portrait of a man. \nDirected by Emmy Award-winning director and producer Nick Nanton\, the film has been selected to close out the prestigious Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLIFF). The screening will be followed by a Q&A with cast and crew\, and a celebratory meet and greet event with Dr. Harvey will take place immediately after. \nTo watch the trailer\, visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-95pmlaPN0 \nTo purchase tickets\, visit https://fliff.com/events/guyharveythedocumentary/

SUMMARY:Brantley Gilbert
DESCRIPTION:Doors open 6:30PM \nAs one of the godfathers of country’s modern rock-and-rap edge\, multi-Platinum The Valory Music Co. trailblazer Brantley Gilbert knows life has a way of leaving a mark. With his seventh studio album\, Tattoos\, available now\, the Georgia native chooses to embrace it – inspired by the idea that his tattoos tell a story\, just like his songs. And just like his songs\, he’ll never hide the truth they reveal. An era-defining artist forever bonded to his fans\, Gilbert’s been mining the timeless values of hard-working dedication\, high-octane thrills and humble faith since his 2009 debut\, A Modern Day Prodigal Son\, creating a chart-topping grit-and-grace fusion which helped set the stage for today’s genre-blending format. \nWith his dedicated BG Nation behind him\, the fiery performer-songwriter has racked up more than 8.3 BILLION career streams\, boasting back-to-back Platinum albums and seven No. 1 hits including the RIAA 7x Platinum “Bottoms Up;” 2x Platinum “Country Must Be Country Wide;” 2x Platinum “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do;” 2x Platinum “One Hell of An Amen;” and the Platinum-certified “What Happens In A Small Town” with Lindsay Ell. His world-class pen helped create a watershed hit with Jason Aldean’s 4x Platinum country-rap game changer\, “Dirt Road Anthem.” And possessing a can’t-fake-it quality of fierce independence\, the ACM\, CMA and AMA award winner has toured alongside everyone from Willie Nelson and Toby Keith to Kenny Chesney\, Nickelback and more. Tattoos further cements his legacy – 10 cowritten\, co-produced tracks with an electrifying mix of in-your-face aggression and roughneck reflection\, as Gilbert’s diesel-powered smoke-and-soul vocal delivers another full-spectrum soundtrack to modern country life. \nTracks like full-throttle “Off the Rails” and intoxicating chart-climbing single “Over When We’re Sober” with Ashley Cooke lead a set packed with guest appearances from Gary LeVox\, Justin Moore\, Struggle Jennings and Demun Jones. Gilbert will embark on his headlining Tattoos Tour 2025 in February\, with stops across North America through the spring\, with additional festival dates this summer.

SUMMARY:An Exploration of Color
DESCRIPTION:Since childhood\, Sarah Rocca has been captivated by the power of imagery\, the ability to freeze time and preserve memories through the art of painting with light. Her vivid imagination\, once confined to the colorful worlds she envisioned as a child\, found its voice through digital tools. This fusion of creativity and technology allowed Rocca to bring her unique perspective to life and share it with a broader audience. \nRocca’s use of color serves not only as a visual element but as a narrative device. Through her deliberate color choices\, she conveys mood\, emotion and unspoken subtext\, inviting viewers to engage with each piece on a personal level. An Exploration of Color is a visual memoir\, a journey through Rocca’s experiences of love\, divorce\, depression and joy. Each image encourages the viewer to reflect on how color influences their emotions and to interpret the story it tells through their own lens. \nClick here to learn more of the artist – Sarah Rocca. \nThis is a Weekly Recurring Event\nRuns from Mar 6\, 2026 to Mar 26\, 2026 and happens every:\nTuesdays: 10:00am – 6:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nWednesdays: 10:00am – 6:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nThursdays: 10:00am – 6:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nFridays: 10:00am – 6:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)\nSaturdays: 10:00am – 4:00pm Timezone: Eastern Time (US & Canada)

SUMMARY:Meet Author Bud Fraser at History Fort Lauderdale’s “Florida Scribes & Stories”
DESCRIPTION:History Fort Lauderdale\, committed to preserving our collective heritage\, promoting historical literacy\, and fostering a sense of pride and stewardship for the vibrant tapestry of our region’s history\, will present a free book signing with James R. “Bud” Fraser\, Sr.\, author of “Tales from Growing Up in Oakland Park and Fort Lauderdale\, Florida\,” on Friday\, March 6\, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Fraser will appear at The New River Inn Museum of History (231 SW Second Avenue in Fort Lauderdale). His Broward appearance is part of History Fort Lauderdale’s “Florida Scribes & Stories\,” a meet the author series that offers literary and history enthusiasts a chance to speak with local authors\, purchase their latest releases and have them signed. \nFraser\, a native-born Floridian who graduated from Stranahan High School in 1952\, spent his early years along the Atlantic Ocean and coastal South Florida embarking on many unforgettable adventures with friends and family – fishing\, swimming\, boating\, camping and exploring. He watched the region grow from the late 1930s through the early 1950s – from rural\, undeveloped land with some family farms to the beginning of the metropolitan area it is today. His family moved to Lake City after he graduated high school. \nThrough his self-published book\, “Tales from Growing Up in Oakland Park and Fort Lauderdale\, Florida\,” he shares these memorable experiences and offers rare glimpses and insight into local history. \nBrian L. Polk\, editor and Florida historian writes\, “Bud is a wonderful storyteller\, and he uses detailed\, descriptive writing that will transport you back to a similar time during his youth. Some readers will reminisce; others will be enlightened; and all will be entertained.” \nGuests may RSVP to this free author talk and book signing at https://bit.ly/FloridaScribesFraser2026 \nFor more information about History Fort Lauderdale\, please call (954) 463-4431 or visit historyfortlauderdale.org.

SUMMARY:Bret Michaels
DESCRIPTION:Doors open at 6:00PM \nBret Michaels is\, if nothing else\, a true survivor. He has survived a life long battle as an insulin dependent diabetic\, a well publicized near fatal car crash in 1994 and the countless musical trends and fads of the last two decades. \n“As soon as I ever start to just go through the motions I’ll quit\,” confessed the 44 year old singer\, songwriter\, producer\, director and actor in a recent interview. But there’s little chance he’ll even slow down let alone quit anytime soon. In fact\, after more than 20 years in the business this award winning\, multi platinum superstar’s career continues to move at warp speed. \nAs front man for the legendary rock band Poison\, Michaels has sold 25 million records and scored an amazing 15 chartbusting Top 40 singles including “Talk Dirty to Me\,” “Something to Believe In\,” “Nothing But a Good Time” and the timeless #1 smash “Every Rose Has its Thorn.” And in the new millennium Poison’s music has been featured in such big screen flicks as “Mr. and Mrs. Smith\,” “Grandma’s Boy” and “Deuce Bigelow-European Gigolo.” They continue to be one of the industry’s top grossing concert attractions and their 2006 “20 Years of Rock” CD was a bona fide Top 20 gold smash. Their current single\, a remake of the 1974 Grand Funk Railroad classic “We’re an American Band” was produced by Don Was (The Rolling Stones\, Bob Dylan\, Bonnie Raitt). \nOpening performance by Tesla \nThat they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid-80s\, but their bluesy\, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic\, authentic\, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like The Allman Brothers\, Grand Funk Railroad\, AC/DC\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, and Aerosmith. The ground started shaking in Sacramento\, CA\, in 1984; it was gold country that would soon be producing some platinum. They started out as City Kidd\, until a suggested name change to TESLA\, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla\, who pioneered all things electrical. Their 1986 platinum debut album\, Mechanical Resonance\, included Top 40 hits “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” 1989’s double-platinum The Great Radio Controversy included hits “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song”. Suddenly\, TESLA\, who had been touring with bands such as Def Leppard and David Lee Roth\, earned headlining status. In 1990\, TESLA helped reshape the face of modern rock music by stripping down to the Five Man Acoustical Jam\, an informal collection of their biggest hits peppered with rock and roll classics by the Beatles\, Stones\, and others. This album produced their biggest hit single to date\, a cover of Five Man Electrical Band’s “Signs.” Other 90s albums from Tesla include platinum-selling Psychotic Supper and Bust a Nut. The band continues to record and release material\, including nine new albums since 2000 and recently debuted their new single\, “Time To Rock!” TESLA has endured many of the same taste-changing challenges that affected many in the post-grungee world\, but through it all\, their blue-collar work ethic and dedication to the faithful fan base has helped them not just survive\, but thrive. TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sell out venues all over the world. As comfortable\, rugged\, and dependable as your favorite pair of boots\, they endure. TESLA is a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.
