With his seventh studio album\, Tattoos\, available now\, the Georgia native chooses to embrace it – inspired by the idea that his tattoos tell a story\, just like his songs. And just like his songs\, he’ll never hide the truth they reveal. An era-defining artist forever bonded to his fans\, Gilbert’s been mining the timeless values of hard-working dedication\, high-octane thrills and humble faith since his 2009 debut\, A Modern Day Prodigal Son\, creating a chart-topping grit-and-grace fusion which helped set the stage for today’s genre-blending format. \nWith his dedicated BG Nation behind him\, the fiery performer-songwriter has racked up more than 8.3 BILLION career streams\, boasting back-to-back Platinum albums and seven No. 1 hits including the RIAA 7x Platinum “Bottoms Up;” 2x Platinum “Country Must Be Country Wide;” 2x Platinum “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do;” 2x Platinum “One Hell of An Amen;” and the Platinum-certified “What Happens In A Small Town” with Lindsay Ell. Polk\, editor and Florida historian writes\, “Bud is a wonderful storyteller\, and he uses detailed\, descriptive writing that will transport you back to a similar time during his youth. Some readers will reminisce; others will be enlightened; and all will be entertained.” \nGuests may RSVP to this free author talk and book signing at https://bit.ly/FloridaScribesFraser2026 \nFor more information about History Fort Lauderdale\, please call (954) 463-4431 or visit historyfortlauderdale.org.

SUMMARY:Bret Michaels
DESCRIPTION:Doors open at 6:00PM \nBret Michaels is\, if nothing else\, a true survivor. He has survived a life long battle as an insulin dependent diabetic\, a well publicized near fatal car crash in 1994 and the countless musical trends and fads of the last two decades. \n“As soon as I ever start to just go through the motions I’ll quit\,” confessed the 44 year old singer\, songwriter\, producer\, director and actor in a recent interview. But there’s little chance he’ll even slow down let alone quit anytime soon. In fact\, after more than 20 years in the business this award winning\, multi platinum superstar’s career continues to move at warp speed. \nAs front man for the legendary rock band Poison\, Michaels has sold 25 million records and scored an amazing 15 chartbusting Top 40 singles including “Talk Dirty to Me\,” “Something to Believe In\,” “Nothing But a Good Time” and the timeless #1 smash “Every Rose Has its Thorn.” And in the new millennium Poison’s music has been featured in such big screen flicks as “Mr. and Mrs. Smith\,” “Grandma’s Boy” and “Deuce Bigelow-European Gigolo.” They continue to be one of the industry’s top grossing concert attractions and their 2006 “20 Years of Rock” CD was a bona fide Top 20 gold smash. Their current single\, a remake of the 1974 Grand Funk Railroad classic “We’re an American Band” was produced by Don Was (The Rolling Stones\, Bob Dylan\, Bonnie Raitt). \nOpening performance by Tesla \nThat they are still roaring and soaring should be no surprise. That’s just how they are built. TESLA may have been born in the mid-80s\, but their bluesy\, soulful sound is strongly embedded in the roots of organic\, authentic\, 1970s rock and roll. The same roots that produced bands like The Allman Brothers\, Grand Funk Railroad\, AC/DC\, Lynyrd Skynyrd\, and Aerosmith. The ground started shaking in Sacramento\, CA\, in 1984; it was gold country that would soon be producing some platinum. They started out as City Kidd\, until a suggested name change to TESLA\, honoring the eccentric inventor Nikola Tesla\, who pioneered all things electrical. Their 1986 platinum debut album\, Mechanical Resonance\, included Top 40 hits “Modern Day Cowboy” and “Little Suzi.” 1989’s double-platinum The Great Radio Controversy included hits “Heaven’s Trail (No Way Out)” and “Love Song”. Suddenly\, TESLA\, who had been touring with bands such as Def Leppard and David Lee Roth\, earned headlining status. In 1990\, TESLA helped reshape the face of modern rock music by stripping down to the Five Man Acoustical Jam\, an informal collection of their biggest hits peppered with rock and roll classics by the Beatles\, Stones\, and others. This album produced their biggest hit single to date\, a cover of Five Man Electrical Band’s “Signs.” Other 90s albums from Tesla include platinum-selling Psychotic Supper and Bust a Nut. The band continues to record and release material\, including nine new albums since 2000 and recently debuted their new single\, “Time To Rock!” TESLA has endured many of the same taste-changing challenges that affected many in the post-grungee world\, but through it all\, their blue-collar work ethic and dedication to the faithful fan base has helped them not just survive\, but thrive. TESLA’s legacy is alive and well as they continue to record and sell out venues all over the world. As comfortable\, rugged\, and dependable as your favorite pair of boots\, they endure. TESLA is a celebration of the greatest spirits of rock and roll.

SUMMARY:Children’s Harbor is Celebrating Its 13th Annual Harbor Lights Gala “Ohana” with a Polynesian Luau on March 7\, Presented by Vertical Bridge
DESCRIPTION:Children’s Harbor invites the community to gather as Ohana–because family is defined by those who show up when it matters most–for an unforgettable evening of generosity and connection at the 13th Annual Harbor Lights Gala\, taking place on Saturday\, March 7\, 2026\, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m\, at the stunning Bergeron Green Glades Ranch\, 21111 SW 16th Street in Weston\, Florida. \nPresented by Vertical Bridge\, this year’s gala celebrates the power of family\, unity\, and the community that shows up during the moments that shape a child’s future. Proceeds from the evening will directly support teens in foster care and young adults aging out of the system through Children’s Harbor’s nationally accredited programs. \nHosted by Children’s Harbor\, this Polynesian Luau will feature island-inspired decor\, live music\, hula dancers\, fire dancers\, a haka performance\, curated culinary experiences including pig roasts\, a silent auction\, a raffle\, and more. Community leaders\, advocates\, and supporters who are committed to ensuring that no young person faces life alone will also come together in support of Children’s Harbor’s mission to keep families together by providing a supportive environment for the teens and young adults it serves. \nThe evening will be emceed by Julie Guy\, a beloved South Florida radio personality with over three decades on the air. Julie began her career in 1991 at the well-known radio station WSHE and can currently be heard weekday mornings on 101.5 LITE FM as one of Those 2 Girls in the Morning. A longtime community advocate and experienced narrator and speaker\, Julie is a passionate supporter of numerous charitable organizations throughout South Florida. \nChildren’s Harbor is also honored to partner with the Miss Kentucky Organization\, an affiliate of the Miss America Pageant\, and to welcome Miss Kentucky as the evening’s keynote speaker. Her story is both extraordinary and deeply moving. After aging out of the foster care system in Kentucky\, where limited support exists for young adults\, Miss Kentucky experienced homelessness. A chance encounter with a Miss America recruiter changed the trajectory of her life. Today\, she uses her platform to advocate relentlessly for teens in foster care and young adults aging out of the system by sharing a message of resilience\, hope\, and the life-changing power of community support. \n“Our community ensures that family means no one is left behind\,” said Tiffani Dhooge\, President & CEO of Children’s Harbor. “This night is about showing up for our teens\, families\, and for the moments that matter most. We are incredibly grateful to Vertical Bridge and to every supporter who makes it possible for Children’s Harbor to continue providing hope\, healing\, and opportunity for those we serve.” \nChildren’s Harbor is dedicated to strengthening families while providing safe shelter and essential support to teens and their younger siblings in foster care. Their mission is to empower teens in their care to grow into healthy\, educated\, and productive adults. Offering a harbor of hope and healing\, Children\’s Harbor focuses on supporting children who have experienced the trauma of child abuse at its main campus in Pembroke Pines. Funds raised during the 13th Annual Harbor Lights Gala will directly benefit the nonprofit. \nGeneral admission tickets to the 13th Annual Harbor Lights Gala are $250 per person. Tell the DJs what you want to hear and we promise we listen better than your ex. It’s loud\, it’s emotional\, and it’s the kind of night that reminds you it was never just a phase. \nSo get ready\, Fort Lauderdale. Lace up your boots\, warm up your vocal cords\, and meet us in the pit at Revolution Live on March 7\, 2026. Emo Night Brooklyn is calling — and yes\, we need every soul.
