DESCRIPTION:In this classic Pulitzer prize winning comedy\, Elwood P. Dowd s best friend is an imaginary six-and-a-half-foot tall rabbit\, which causes issues with his famiy. The comedy runs for three weekends June 5-21. Performances are at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays. \nHarvey is a Pulitzer Prize-winning 1944 play by Mary Chase about an eccentric man\, Elwood P. Dowd\, whose best friend is a six-foot-tall invisible rabbit named Harvey\, much to the dismay of his sister\, Veta\, who tries to have him committed to a sanitarium. Unfortunately\, things do not go quite the way she had planned. The events lead to a humorous and heartwarming exploration of sanity\, friendship\, and kindness. Ann Storck Center – a Fort Lauderdale-based private nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities – is excited to host its 40th Annual All Heart Volleyball Challenge on Saturday\, June 13\, on Pompano Beach. \nBump\, set\, give back! The community event will feature a fun-filled day of volleyball\, music raffle\, prizes\, lunch\, dinner\, beverages and more to make a difference in the lives of adults and children with developmental disabilities. Co-ed 61s volleyball teams are invited to participate in the beach volleyball tournament in competitive or recreational divisions. \nTeams must consist of a minimum of six players and can be a maximum of eight players. Players under 18 years old must have a signed waiver.\nSponsorship opportunities are available and range from $400 to $10\,000. Individual tournament entry is available for $50\, and registration for a team of eight is $400. Registration includes a shirt\, meals\, drinks and prizes. \nProceeds benefit Ann Storck Center\, which accommodates 96 permanent residents and serves more than 300 clients daily through an array of critical care\, learning and ability-focused programs. \nThe 2026 confirmed sponsors to date are Rick Case Automotive Group\, Beach House\, Lucky Fish Beach Bar + Grill\, Oceanic\, Gulf Stream Brewery\, TDON and Jet’s Pizza.
