As President & CEO of the Fort Lauderdale Downtown Development Authority, Jenni combines her public-sector background with private-sector pragmatism to attract investment and consistently improve Fort Lauderdale’s urban core. Starting as an entry-level city planner 26 years ago, Jenni has not only witnessed the total transformation of Fort Lauderdale over the decades but has also been at the forefront of policy development and capital projects that paved the way for significant growth and enhanced livability in the city’s downtown. Jenni recently completed the city’s first public-private-philanthropic partnership for public spaces, renovating downtown’s iconic Huizenga Park. She leads a team who successfully raised $8M in private funding to support a $15M capital project by standing up a non-profit governance model and executing an operational and programming plan that will support Huizenga Park and other downtown parks for decades to come.
