Join the Spady Museum and Old School Square for the Black Movie Experience (BMX), a free community film series celebrating stories, culture, and achievements from the African Diaspora.
This featured screening showcases Peanut Headz: Black History Toonz, an award-winning animated series that brings Black history to life through engaging stories about influential figures and pivotal moments that have shaped our world. Recognized nationally and internationally for its impact on youth education and community empowerment, the series has been featured at film festivals around the globe. The Jackie Robinson episode received the 2025 NAACP Image Award for Best Animation Episode, and the series has earned acclaim for making Black history accessible, inspiring, and fun for audiences of all ages.
