Films at the Center: The Brittney Griner Story

Join Women With Pride for a special screening of “The Brittney Griner Story,” a powerful documentary exploring the life, career and experiences of the acclaimed basketball player. The film delves into Griner’s decision to play basketball outside the United States, her detention abroad and her advocacy for the release of other wrongfully detained individuals. Part of the 2026 Films at the Center series, this free screening celebrates stories of queer women across cultures and generations. The screening will take place Friday, September 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Main Hall at The Pride Center at Equality Park.
