Plastic is Scary: Beach Cleanup, Guided Eco Walk, & Halloween Costume Swap

A beach cleanup, guided eco walk, and costume swap bring a sustainability-focused spin to Halloween at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park. Participants can help remove debris from the shoreline, exchange gently used Halloween costumes and accessories, and join a walk led by a naturalist exploring local wildlife, native and invasive plants, and seasonal sea turtle activity. Volunteer service hours will be provided.
Presented by Debris Free Oceans, MORAES, and Earth Breeze, this free, all-ages event is part of Florida Climate Week 2026.
