Laura Burgess is the founder of L.E. Burgess, P.A., a boutique law firm focused on complex commercial litigation and trial work. She represents businesses and individuals in high-stakes disputes involving real estate, contract matters, construction litigation, and business torts. Laura has successfully handled cases at all stages, including achieving favorable outcomes before the Florida Third District Court of Appeal, administrative boards, and at jury trial. Prior to founding her firm, she gained extensive litigation and appellate experience in private practice and with the City of Miami Office of the City Attorney. A double graduate of the University of Miami, where she earned her J.D., cum laude, and B.A. in Economics and English, summa cum laude, Laura has received numerous academic honors and professional distinctions, including Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2023–2025. She recently ran in the Key Largo Bridge 10k Run and is training for another 10K this spring.
