Tenzer Arrieta Announces New Firm Name and Partner

Tenzer Arrieta PLLC announced the changing of its firm name to TA PLLC and other management restructuring. International transactional attorney Javier Alvarez (pictured, left), previously a Partner at the firm, will manage the firm alongside Ari Tenzer, with Senior Associate Gregory Hernandez (pictured, top0 promoted to Partner. The Co-Managing Partner role had previously been held by Alejandro Arrieta, who is transitioning to a Counsel role, while also joining a longtime firm client, The Estate Companies, in a business capacity.

“I’ve known Javier for many years and have no doubt he will seamlessly step into this leadership role,” Arrieta says. “His professionalism and deep knowledge of international matters are truly synergistic in terms of the platform Ari and I have carefully cultivated.”

Alvarez and Hernandez practice in the firm’s Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions Groups, focusing on a wide range of domestic and cross-border business transactions.

Alvarez focuses on a wide range of domestic and cross-border business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, joint ventures and other general corporate matters. He also has considerable experience in the financial services industry and handles transactional work for emerging and middle-market companies in numerous industries.

Hernandez has vast experience in domestic and international corporate and real estate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, financing, entity formation, and general corporate and real estate matters.

“Javier was a natural fit for this role because of his robust experience with matters in Latin America and for clients from that region given the amount of work our firm does in this area,” Tenzer says. “I’m proud to see both Javier and Greg step into these new roles and to have Alex stay on and continue to provide his wealth of legal expertise. I am confident these moves will benefit both our clients and the firm.”

The firm was founded in 2018 when Tenzer and Arrieta decided to combine their legal practices. What started as five lawyers has nearly tripled in that short time to a full-service business law firm servicing domestic and international clients in connection with a wide range of transactional and dispute-related matters. Like Alvarez, many of the firm’s attorneys were formerly in Big Law.

“I am honored and excited for this opportunity,” Alvarez says. “I value the strong reputation and entrepreneurial culture that Ari and Alex have established, and I look forward to working with the team to build on this success.”
