The Our Fund Foundation Announces Board Appointments

 The Our Fund Foundation  has announced the appointment of Robin J. King, Esq. and Thomas W. Nichols to its board of directors. Together, they bring decades of leadership in philanthropy, nonprofit management, finance, governance and the legal profession, along with a longstanding commitment to strengthening South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community.

Robin J. King, Esq. is the managing partner of Robin J. King, Esq., P.A., where she focuses on estate planning, guardianship, probate, trust administration, and litigation. An AV Preeminent-rated attorney, King is widely recognized for her work serving LGBTQ+ individuals and families in estate planning. A longtime civic and nonprofit leader, she serves on the Lambda Legal National Planned Giving Board and the Lambda Legal South Florida Host Committee. She has held leadership roles with the Gay and Lesbian Lawyers Network, Greater Fort Lauderdale Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, the Wilton Manors Business Association, the Community Foundation of Broward’s Professional Advisors Council and the Nova Southeastern University Museum of Art Planned Giving Committee. She has served as an adjunct professor at Barry University and Florida International University, is a frequent speaker on estate planning and trust administration, and has also served as a judge for the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law Moot Court Competitions.

Thomas W. Nichols is a nonprofit executive, certified public accountant, and community leader with more than 30 years of experience in finance, operations, governance, and organizational leadership. He serves as chief financial officer of the Arcus Foundation, one of the world’s leading philanthropic organizations dedicated to advancing LGBTQ+ social justice and conserving great apes and their habitats. Nichols provides executive leadership across finance, operations, grants management, human resources, information technology, facilities, risk management and organizational planning, helping guide the foundation through strategic growth and international expansion. Throughout his career, he has built high-performing teams, strengthened governance and helped mission-driven organizations maximize their impact. A longtime advocate for LGBTQ+ equality, Nichols has supported numerous philanthropic initiatives focused on social justice, arts and culture, community development and public health while remaining actively engaged in South Florida’s nonprofit community.
