Dr. Elizabeth King is a successful businesswoman, mental health expert, motivational speaker, author, radio-TV personality, coach, and philanthropist. She is the founder and chief inspiration officer for the Suits, Stilettos and Lipstick (SSL) Foundation. SSL is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to empower women and children from all walks of life to be resilient, self-confident and purposeful leaders through education, mentorship and community outreach. Dr. King’s relentless pursuit of spreading hope and empowering others everywhere she goes has led to her life’s work, or as she affectionately likes to refer to it, her “love walk.” Her career path comprises over 30 years as a teacher (notably Nova Southeastern University and Broward County public schools), an advocate for at-risk children, and a psychotherapist/hypnotherapist specializing in trauma, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, and women’s issues. All of this was the impetus for the creation of SSL in 2012. Currently, Dr. King is dedicated to serving as chief inspiration officer for SSL, advocating for mental health, speaking across the globe and writing her second book. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hanging out with her grandchildren and learning to play the congas. As a speaker, Dr. King captivates her audiences with personal stories combined with her knowledge and always leaves audiences motivated, empowered and inspired. She has delivered countless keynote speeches and presentations to Fortune 500 companies and top government agencies. Her favorite quote, and one that she wholeheartedly lives by, is from Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Her favorite color is red.
