Miami Art Week 2023 Showcases Fashion and Celebrities

The events brought together design, music, and artistry.

Art Hearts Fashion’s Miami Art Week 2023 recently concluded as one of the most iconic local events. The four-day extravaganza featured a range of fashion shows, art exhibitions, and parties, all taking place during Art Basel. The entertainment celebrated creativity and fashion during the world’s biggest global art festival.

The grand saga commenced at the Fabel Miami Rooftop, where a VIP dinner and fashion show were held. The event featured the 2024 collections of renowned designers Giannina Azar, Julia Colquitt, and Lybethras. Among them, Azar is a celebrity fashion designer whose stunning couture ensembles have graced the likes of Beyoncé on her Renaissance album, Jennifer Lopez, Gwen Stefani, and many others. The night celebrated fashion and dreams as Art Hearts Fashion brought together fashion, music, and artistry.

On the following night, Kiki On The River was the venue where the moonlight reflected on the river, and attendees witnessed risqué and fresh runway shows by Lila Nikole, Mister Triple X, and Black Tape Project by Drakhan Blackheart. VIPs were given an exclusive invitation to a yacht party on the river, where the models were guests, and all immersed themselves in the boho-chic atmosphere, enjoying the enchanting Greek food and fashion.

The Vessel and Kings Of The Sea collaborated to host an exclusive nautical art gallery experience featuring the works of Oliver Gal Art. The event showcased the convergence of luxury and art through The Vessel’s partnership with the renowned art brand. The Vessel was transformed into a unique nautical art gallery, providing guests an unparalleled experience. The curated DJ sets by Gindhart B2B Mount and NES provided the perfect soundtrack as guests enjoyed the floating masterpiece while the sun set over the city. The venue’s iconic setting elevated the art experience to new heights, and guests were treated to refreshing welcome drinks from 100% Coconut cocktails courtesy of SelvaRey Rum and London Essence, Charro Beer, Evian, and light bites.

The enchanting finale occurred at Dream South Beach Rooftop Highbar, a 70’s-inspired rooftop pool lounge that offers an amazing view of South Beach. During the event, RICHERETTE By Richie Rich, Love For Upcycling, and For The Stars Fashion House showcased their 2024 collections while DJ Mike Trotter played music. A special guest, Daniel Franzese, known for his role in Mean Girls, walked in the RICHERETTE show. After the show, Richie, Daniel, and other celebrities hosted an official after-party at Twist nightclub.

Editor-in-Chief

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico. His other clients have included Four Seasons, Acqualina Resort & Residences, Yahoo!, American Airlines, Wynn, Douglas Elliman and Corcoran.
