Boca Raton Earns Top Meeting Destination

The recognition by Cvent highlights the city’s group business appeal and commitment to corporate event success.

Boca Raton has been recognized as one of the best meeting destinations in North America by Cvent, a leading provider of meetings, events, and hospitality technology. The Cvent Top Meeting Destinations lists assess and rank cities that effectively engage event planners and draw group business to their areas. The rankings are based on sourcing activity through the Cvent Supplier Network, one of the largest venue-sourcing platforms in the world.

“As Mayor of Boca Raton, I am thrilled to see our city recognized as a Top Meeting Destination in North America by Cvent,” says Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer. “This achievement is a testament to our dedication to providing exceptional experiences for both event planners and attendees. Boca Raton’s commitment to excellence in hospitality, combined with our beautiful surroundings and vibrant community, makes us an ideal choice for corporate events and meetings. We look forward to continuing to welcome visitors and showcasing all that Boca Raton has to offer.”

Boca Raton earned the 50th top meeting destination. Palm Beach County features two lively and easily accessible downtown meeting districts, giving businesses the flexibility to select from a wide range of options within one million square feet of meeting space and over 19,000 guestrooms. The city also has extensive outdoor areas that promote connection and creativity. Attendees have the opportunity to explore a first-rate arts and culture scene, diverse dining experiences, and wellness options.

“This recognition underscores Boca Raton’s growth and popularity as a tourism destination,” says Milton Segarra, CDME, president and CEO of Discover The Palm Beaches, which announced the designation. “The investments in the local hotel industry, strong community support, regional growth, and prominent events have contributed to this tremendous achievement. This accolade emphasizes what we’ve known all along—that Boca Raton shines as a premier destination for meetings and conventions in North America.”

Cvent assessed over 12,500 cities globally listed on the Cvent Supplier Network. The evaluation covered activities from January 2023 to December 2023. Rankings were based on the total room nights booked through the Cvent Supplier Network, the number of unique electronic request-for-proposals (RFPs) sent to venues within the city, the total value of the RFPs submitted, and the actual awarded value for meetings booked.

“We want to congratulate Boca Raton for being recognized as a Cvent Top Meeting Destination in North America. This prestigious accolade is a testament to Boca Raton’s commitment to partnering with hoteliers and event planners alike to orchestrate exceptional events,” says Bharet Malhotra, Cvent Senior Vice President, Hospitality Cloud. “Given the tremendous value that meetings and events bring to local economies, it’s more important than ever that convention & visitors bureaus and destination management companies embrace their role as destination advocates to attract group business to their locales. We’re proud to share our Cvent Top Destinations lists and highlight cities like Boca Raton to our global network of event planners who are not only looking for incredible places to host their events but strong partners to bring their visions to life.”
