As a young person, mentorship had a profound impact on Henri Crockett’s life, shaping the path he would eventually take. When Crockett was drafted into the NFL, he knew he wanted to give back in a meaningful way. That led to the creation of Team 94, named after his jersey number. As Crockett neared retirement and prepared to return to his hometown of Pompano Beach, Crockett transformed that effort into what is now the Crockett Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to build character, develop leaders, and improve communities. Through its after-school programs, the nonprofit focuses on bridging the digital gap in underserved areas while exposing youth to a variety of careers. It’s important to Crockett that young people not only learn about these opportunities but also see themselves in them by connecting with individuals who look like them and share their backgrounds. His goal has always been to inspire them to dream bigger and take control of their futures, just as he was once inspired. This recognition isn’t just a reflection of my journey but a celebration.
