New tenant opens at Uptown Boca

There’s something exciting brewing in Boca Raton. New mixed-use lifestyle center Uptown Boca is getting ready to host a grand opening later this year. In the meantime, it’s welcoming new tenants.

On Nov. 13, retail tenant REI Co-op will open its first South Florida store at Uptown Boca. The 23,000-square-foot store brings quality outdoor gear for hiking, camping, paddling and more and is Uptown Boca’s first retail tenant to open. It will be joined in the future by a wide variety of tenants such as Chick-fil-A, BurgerFi, F45 Training, Paradise Grills, Amazing Lash Studio, Yoga Six, Zen Sushi, Mathnasium, Bolay, Lynora’s, Naked Taco, Olive U, Sloan’s Ice Cream, The Joint Chiropractic, Tide Cleaners and Tipsy’s Nail Bar.

REI Co-op will feature a bike shop with zero-contact shop services and will offer in-store pickup and online buying options. In the store, customers will also find health and safety protocols in place, including social distancing. The community is invited to celebrate the opening (click here for details) ahead of its planned local investment. REI plans to invest $10,000 in local outdoor nonprofits, through a $5,000 grant to the Florida State Parks Foundation, in support of Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park, and a second grant to be announced at a later date.

Uptown Boca, from Schmier Property Group, Giles Capital Group and Rosemurgy Properties, in partnership with Wheelock Street Capital, covers 38-acres, 179,000 square feet of retail space and 456 Class-A luxury apartments. It’s located at 20940 Uptown Ave., Boca Raton on the corner of Glades Road and 95th Avenue South, east of State Road 7. To learn more, click here.
