Dana Safety Supply, a firm specializing in providing and installing equipment for law enforcement vehicles, has recently moved its Pompano Beach location to a new, larger space in Fort Lauderdale. According to Jeffrey Cebula of NAI/Merin Hunter Codman, the company closed on a seven-year lease for a 14,793-square-foot industrial building at 750 McNab Road in Fort Lauderdale and subsequently moved on June 1.
In the lease negotiations, Dana Safety Supply was represented by Cebula, while Steve Davis of SVN Commercial acted as the representative for the landlords, five limited liability companies located in Long Island, New York. The property was purchased by limited liability companies managed by Lawrence Cerullo, Michael Zikos, Theodore Karagiannis, Ari Tsatsaronis, and Dimitrios Sidiropoulos for $3 million in July 2022.
Dana Safety Supply was previously located at 4100 N. Powerline Road in Pompano Beach. According to Cebula, the parking lot at that building could only hold up to 30 vehicles at a time, which were scattered in different lots. However, the new one-acre property in Fort Lauderdale has ample space to accommodate up to 100 vehicles at once. Cebula shared that they were searching for a 20,000-square-foot area but had already surpassed their lease by over five months. Additionally, the landlord of their previous location in Pompano Beach wanted to double their rent.
Along with specializing in installing and rebuilding vehicles for law enforcement agencies, Dana Safety Supply also sells tactical gear and apparel. In South Florida, industrial space is becoming increasingly scarce as more individuals and organizations move into the area. According to a report from Colliers, only 3.9% of the 119.63 million square feet of industrial space in Broward County was vacant as of the first quarter.
