A biotech boost

Beacon Pharmaceutical, a New York-based biotech, plans to build a pharmaceutical research development and production facility with 137 jobs in Jupiter, the Palm Beach Post reported.

The facility could help commercialize drugs developed by Scripps Research Institute and Max Planck in Jupiter. The complex would be built on nine acres of town-owned land near the northwest corner of Indiantown Road and Florida’s Turnpike, according to a proposed memorandum of understanding.
