Aventura-based Uni K Wax has named Christina Simeone vice president of operations as the body-waxing franchise continues to expand its national footprint.
In her new role, Simeone will oversee studio operations, franchisee support, and operational execution across the company. She will work directly with franchisees on studio performance, employee development, and the customer experience as Uni K Wax grows in existing and new markets.
Simeone brings more than a decade of experience in the personal care and wellness industries. Before joining Uni K Wax, she spent more than 10 years as director of operations at Hand & Stone Massage & Facial Spa, where her responsibilities included managing operations and initiatives designed to improve franchise performance.
“Christina is a unique operations executive who brings vast experience in developing operations of wellness brands, putting emphasis on economic benefits at the unit level and the success of the franchisees,” says Jarred Fajerski, CEO of Uni K Wax.
The appointment comes as Uni K Wax continues a period of national expansion. The company currently has nearly 40 studios open, with another 31 in development across nine markets and seven states. The company is also pursuing growth through the conversion of independent waxing studios to the Uni K Wax brand.
Omar Simmons, managing partner of Exaltare Capital Management and a Uni K Wax board member, says maintaining consistency will be critical as the company adds locations.
“To scale your franchise model, you have to be disciplined, well managed, and most importantly, consistent throughout the entire process,” Simmons says.
Founded as a specialty waxing concept, Uni K Wax distinguishes itself through its proprietary Elasti K Wax and franchise-based studio model.
Simeone’s appointment puts an experienced franchise operations executive in charge of the studio system as Uni K Wax looks to expand its presence across the country while maintaining performance at the individual franchise level.
