2024 Apogee Honoree: Scott Sherman

Meet Scott Sherman, CEO of Torose Equities

As founder and CEO of Torose Equities, Scott Sherman is responsible for strategic direction, sourcing investment opportunities, capital markets and operations for the firm. His contrarian approach and visionary leadership led to the creation of two successful South Florida-based companies in just five years. During the “retailpocalypse,” Scott founded Tricera Capital, building a $700M portfolio. In 2022, Scott launched Torose Equities, focusing on value-add office and retail properties in the Southeast. The entire former investment arm of Tricera Capital followed Scott to Torose, highlighting the depth and impactfulness of his leadership. Since its launch, Torose has acquired well over one million square feet across Miami, Tampa, and Atlanta. Recent notable acquisitions include a flagship retail space on Miami’s iconic Lincoln Road and 255 Alhambra, an approximately 220,000-square-foot Class A office building in downtown Coral Gables. Scott’s innovative thinking, courage to go against the grain, and consistent delivery of strong returns set him apart. His success is a testament to his ability to identify value where others see risk. Scott dedicates his free time to mentoring young professionals. He is a committed supporter and board member of Covenant House in Fort Lauderdale, helping the youth in need overcome homelessness and human trafficking by providing shelter, love, and relentless support.
