In conjunction with a Masters level degree in Mental Health, Aisha T. McDonald, LMHC, also holds a professional certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace, as well as a Trauma and Resiliency Professional Certificate. Her background in the clinical field has made it imperative for her to work in areas that focus on the continued growth and development of this field and address the needs of individuals as it pertains to equity concerns and societal impact. Her experience in the area of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging has allowed her to broaden efforts in addressing systemic barriers and societal conditions that impact societal health concerns, especially for underrepresented and systemically oppressed BIPOC populations. She incorporates her knowledge of behavioral health and experience of DEIB issues in order to strengthen equitable policies and practices within organizations and corporations. She has developed and facilitated professional development courses, workshops, and trainings on topics impacting special populations, including a specific focus on issues affecting BIPOC communities as well as the LGBTQIA+ population and Neurodivergent individuals. Aisha is a selected member of a local Race Equity Cadre as well as works as part of a national team evaluating Racial Healing programs throughout the country.
