Michele Neptune has held counseling and leadership positions in employee assistance programs and community mental health centers for most of her career. She was formerly the EAP consultant embedded within the occupational health team for Palo Verde Generating Station, the largest nuclear power plant in the United States. Michele’s experience includes managing the Oregon Regional EAP for Providence Health and Services, which supported internal caregivers, as well as selling the EAP product to external companies and caring for Wells Fargo team members with challenges such as recovery from a bank robbery as an internal Employee Assistance Consultant. Michele joined Cleveland Clinic Florida Market in 2020 in a new position as the Director of Employee Assistance Program (EAP)/Wellness. By offering internal EAP services to partner with our external EAP providers, Michele has been able to provide more on-demand caregiver support during the extreme period of the pandemic. Michele has been the operational sponsor of the Cleveland Clinic ClinicPride employee resource group for the Florida Market since its launch in 2021. Michele supports the Cleveland Clinic DE&I initiatives throughout the region, including as a member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council for the Weston Hospital. Michele’s areas of interest and competence include providing wellness talks, organizational/leadership consultation, critical incident response, grief counseling, diversity and inclusion training, managing transitions training and guiding individuals to enhance their overall well-being toolbox. As the daughter of immigrants with family scattered in multiple countries, Michele sees herself as a Global Citizen and thrives on visiting/learning about cultures other than her own.
