Battier Take Charge Foundation Hosts Annual Fundraiser

The event will feature wine tasting, finner and karaoke to raise funds for college scholarships.

Cabernet with Battier will return for its fourth edition on Feb. 3 at Byblos Miami. The three previous events have raised over $650,000 for The Battier Take Charge Foundation, a nonprofit organization established by the Battier Family, which funds college scholarships and educational opportunities for underprivileged youth in Miami and across the U.S. The upcoming event will offer an exceptional experience with various wines, food, and entertainment. It will commence with a wine-tasting session featuring five highly acclaimed Napa Valley vineyards: Verite, William Cole, Arrieta, Stark, and Fairchild. After the tasting, a lavish dinner for 100 guests will be served, featuring Byblos Miami’s signature dishes with expertly paired wine selections. Once dinner is over, the night will continue in the Byblos’ private lounge, as no Battier Take Charge event is considered complete without a Karaoke session. This year, the Battiers have raised the bar by providing a live five-piece band complete with backup singers, providing attendees with an authentic superstar experience. Guests seeking their rockstar moment can take the stage in style and sing their hearts out like professionals. As always, the evening will end with an over-the-top performance by Shane Battier himself. This charity event aims to bring together some of South Florida’s finest to raise money for The Battier Take Charge Foundation.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to bring Cabernet with Battier back for a fourth year to marry great people, delicious food, and incredible wines for a cause that means so much to us,” Shane Battier says. “Our first three events raised over $650,000 and we are hoping to make this year’s event the most successful yet – as well as the most fun! Through Battier Take Charge, Heidi and I are committed to providing dynamic educational resources for incredibly deserving young scholars right here in our own backyard. Our programs provide them with the tools they need to build the lives they dream of.”

The events have been graced by several prominent personalities, including Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh, Pat Riley, James Jones, Jimmy Buffet, Norris Cole, Udonis Haslem, Jon Secada, Pierre Garcon, Larry Johnson, Gabrielle Union, Jay Williams, Micky Arison, and Ken Jeong.

Individual tickets are sold for a limited time at $1,000, while tables are available at prices ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. All attendees must be at least 21 years old. For those unable to attend the event, there is still an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of talented young students by donating to The Battier Take Charge Foundation.
