BBQGuys Opens West Palm Beach Backyard Design Center

The specialty e-commerce platform specializes in backyard grills, outdoor kitchens, furniture, and more.

BBQGuys.com has recently unveiled its Backyard Design Center in West Palm Beach in collaboration with Teak + Table Outdoor, part of BBQGuys’ omni-channel retail strategy. Located at 500 Palm Street in the Flamingo Park Historic District, the showroom spans over 8,000 square feet. It showcases a wide range of innovative outdoor kitchens and equipment, premium quality grills, smokers, fire pits, outdoor furniture, and lifestyle products from various brand partners. Teak + Table, a family-owned and operated luxury outdoor furniture business, is one of the featured brands in the showroom, offering an array of outdoor furniture such as dining and seating sets, accent tables, poolside lounge chairs, and more.

“We are excited to accelerate our expansion from our online platform to a true omni-channel customer experience with our latest Backyard Design Center in West Palm Beach,” Russ Wheeler says, CEO of BBQGuys. “We want our customers to shop how they want to shop, while still delivering a unique customer experience. We took our learnings from our locations in Baton Rouge and Alpharetta, combined with Teak + Table’s expertise in outdoor furniture and similar approach to outdoor living, and created an elevated retail design experience. We are providing customers with multiple ways to envision their backyard projects with a seamless online and in-store shopping experience.”

The West Palm Beach showroom is BBQGuys’ third design center in the U.S., along with Alpharetta, GA and Baton Rouge, LA. This unique showroom enables consumers such as homeowners, commercial clients, designers, and contractors to shop according to their preferences, allowing them to choose how, when, and where they want to shop. As the only e-commerce retailer focusing solely on backyard living in the U.S., BBQGuys understands that the easiest way for customers to determine if a product suits their space is by seeing it in person. The center also offers a turnkey experience, featuring completed backyards and complimentary 3D design services that cater to customers’ preferences and styles.

“We are truly excited for our unique partnership with BBQGuys as we both look to change the way people shop, live and experience their backyards all over America,” Trevor Ferguson says, co-founder and CEO of Teak + Table, who recently relocated his family to the neighborhood. “We couldn’t think of a better place to execute this design than the thriving West Palm Beach community.”

The BBQGuys Backyard Design Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, or by appointment.

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico.
