Bourbon Steak Offers Elegant Steakhouse Experience

The restuarnt is located at the JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa.

There are some restaurants that take you in and make you feel at home. And these are restaurants that are worth visiting, at times even more than once. They are places where you enjoy the environment, the delicious food takes precedence, as well as hand crafted cocktails served, all a part of the energetic buzz of diners chatting inside a busy dining room.

Then there are the ones that truly elevate this experience. Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak is one of those types of restaurants that gives those who visit an impeccable and unforgettable experience, one that goes beyond anything that you could even be truly prepared for.

As soon as you walk into the dimly lit restaurant, one decorated with dashes of red and gold, and enhanced by a gorgeous wine cellar that is visible to diners, and elegant bar, you know that the time spent there will be a special one.

The décor is thanks to designer Tony Chi, and Chi even went as far as to decorate not only the restaurant’s main dining room but also put his touch in private rooms for events that could fit up to 40 people for any type of soiree.

Speaking of the gorgeous wine cellar, not only did it win a Wine Spectator Award-winning cellar nod, but it is packed with over 850 unique bottles of wine, all hand-selected and meant to pair well with your meal. So, don’t be afraid to ask for recommendations.

Bourbon Steak Miami

With all the mentioned above, the brainchild of James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Mina, is a restaurant that gives not only modern vibes, but also adds in a dash of timeless elegance. It’s built as a different type of American steakhouse that offers something for everyone that steps through its doors.

With that said it’s no surprise that the restaurant has made itself a staple in the South Florida community. With dedicated visitors from here and beyond, the restaurant prides itself on its longevity as a part of the South Florida restaurant world.

Bourbon Steak has been in Aventura for over 10 years, and we have no doubt that it’s because it prides itself in offering fresh food, perfectly prepped steaks and sips and wines that pair well with the dishes. And their staff is knowledgeable on everything and will be happy to give you recommendations for your meal and what to pair with everything offered on the menu.

My husband and I had a chance to visit Bourbon Steak, and we were impressed with everything. I started by the recommended Caviar Martini, one that is prepared and served by your table, enhanced with plenty of caviar. My husband indulged on an espresso martini, and that was a great way to start the evening.

As for the steaks, there’s no way that you can leave without trying one, even if it is to share.

Their beef has a wonderful flavor, and then there’s the enhancement of herb-infused butter. You will taste how fresh and perfectly prepared it is, thanks to the fact that it’s grilled over wood right when you order. You won’t be disappointed at all and will be happy that you had a famous Bourbon Steak cut of beef.

Guests can have their choice of prime cuts ranging from Japanese A5 and American Wagyu beef or a selection of dry-age meats, making the restaurant one where you can indulge on every type of cut. Accompanied by sides such as creamy mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, as well as fresh salads and appetizers such as a delicious tuna tartare option, this is a place to spend a night with a special someone or special group.

Oh, and don’t forget to nibble on those delicious duck-fat fries. We never will forget. Stay tuned for that delicious start of your meal. It’s the best.

I promise you that you’ll leave Bourbon Steak full and pleased, and with a new pep in your step. It’s just the way the experience goes. And it’s perfect.

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico.
