Dustin Jacobs Named Chair of Board of Directors of Broward Education Foundation

BrightStar Credit Union is one of the largest credit unions in South Florida.

Dustin Jacobs, Vice President of Marketing for Brightstar Credit Union, has been appointed Chair of the Board of Directors of the Broward Education Foundation (BEF), a community-driven charitable organization dedicated to serving students and teachers in Broward County Public Schools.

“Dustin has been a passionate and dedicated board officer for the past several years, and we’re thrilled that he’s now leading the board,” says James A. Knapp, president and CEO of Broward Education Foundation. “His experience and vision are an asset to us as we continue to support and serve the students and teachers in Broward County Public Schools.” 

Jacobs, as the Vice President of Marketing for BrightStar Credit Union, supervises the marketing department, which encompasses the creation of strategic marketing plans, company branding, retail strategies, and the execution of media relations and community relations campaigns for one of the largest credit unions in South Florida.

Jacobs also serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Pompano Beach Lighthouse Point Chamber of Commerce and Partners in Education. Additionally, he is a board member of ArtServe Fort Lauderdale and is affiliated with the League of Southeastern Credit Union’s Young Professionals Group. Furthermore, he is involved with the Credit Union National Association’s Marketing and Business Development Council.
