Ed Pozzuoli of Tripp Scott makes moves

Tripp Scott’s CEO is making moves.

The Fort Lauderdale law firm announced last week that its CEO Ed Pozzuoli was appointed by Governor Ron DeSantis to the Florida Virtual Board of Trustees.

Florida Virtual School is an accredited, public, e-learning school serving students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade online not only in Florida but also around the world. It operates under the guidance of a board of trustees, which consists of seven members appointed by the governor to four-year staggered terms.

“I appreciate the leadership that Governor DeSantis has shown on education and school choice for students throughout Florida,” Pozzuoli says of the appointment. “I’m honored to be apart of the FLVS Board and believe that our approach to education, curriculum and choice is more important than ever as we move beyond the impacts of COVID.”

It’s not the first time Pozzuoli has been in the news this month. He was also named one of Florida Trend magazine’s Florida 500. The special section highlights the 500 most influential executives in different economic sectors throughout the state.

Pozzuoli is an accomplished litigator and negotiator and has extensive experience handling state, county and local governmental issues. He is nationally recognized as a legal expert in charter and educational law.
