Punta Gorda Boat Club is located on beautiful Charlotte Harbor. The club has a (since 1951) wonderful sporting and support history with the Punta Gorda community, and helps promote tourism in our area. Building murals tell of boating, sailing, kayaking, regattas, raft ups, fun social events. We are part of the Punta Gorda History Murals Walk. We are Social – a happy bunch of fun-loving boaters and kayakers.
Membership is eligible to those with a registered boat or a kayak. We hold monthly activities – cruises (day and overnight), kayaking (local and County-wide), dinners, theme parties, an annual formal Commodores\’ Ball (entertainment, dancing, chef\’s creations), socials, picnics, water games, tailgates, barbecues, educational events. We are a Social Club. And, we are a volunteer, community support organization: sponsoring the S.T.A.R. (special training and rehabilitation) cruise/luncheon, Adopt-A-Shore, Shreve St. Cleanups, Coastal Cleanup, canals and Parks cleanup, Bell-Ringing, safe Water and Boating education, so much more. We offer regular use of the building to other community organizations like the PG Sailing Club and Gulf Shore Sailing School. We are happily, proudly, fun-loving, responsible, giving members to our Charlotte Harbor/Punta Gorda Community.
