The Punta Gorda Historical Society is pleased to announce Scott Sean White will perform in concert in the Punta Gorda History Park, 501 Shreve St on Saturday, April 11 from 5 – 7 pm. Tickets are $20 per person at the gate, cash only. Bring your chair, your favorite beverage and snacks if you like. The Hot Dog Lady will be on site.
Some songwriters spend precious time struggling to find their truth and make it rhyme. Others just pick up their guitar and tell it. Scott Sean White is one of the others. Today, he makes his home these days in Poetry, Texas – a perfectly named little town for a songwriters songwriter.
He is a storyteller, both in his songs and the moments in between songs, laying out his life experience – his faith and struggles – and intertwining it all with his craft. His live show is starkly honest, transparent, and eye-opening – full of laughter and probably a few (good) tears, too.
Several of his songs have been recorded by Cody Johnson – God Bless the Boy, Made a Home and Over Missing You as well as singer, Bryan Martin – Years in the Making, Poets and Old Souls and Wishbone
Scotts own albums Call it Even in 2021and Even Better on the Bad Days in 2024 were claimed by critics to be contenders for Album of the Year.
