Handy (Helping Advance and Nurture the Development of Youth) will host the third annual Moonrise “Dance for Good” fundraiser, presented by the Moss Foundation, on Saturday, February 1, at the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens in Fort Lauderdale.
· A modern disco on the sand, Moonrise is an open-format dance party featuring gourmet food stations, specialty cocktails, incredible auction items, and surprise entertainment.
· Each year, Moonrise brings awareness to Handy Cares, an initiative dedicated to delivering critical mental health resources to youth overcoming extraordinary challenges.
· Moonrise will take place at the Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, an iconic and historic landmark. With 700 feet of private beach access, Handy will create a true “toes in the sand” experience in a unique Fort Lauderdale venue unlike any other.
· Since 1985, Handy has helped over 50,000 at-promise youth and their families achieve self-sufficiency. As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, Handy provides customized programs that meet the individual needs of a child through four unique pillars: Handy Youth [Case Management], Handy Cares [Mental Health Services], Handy Futures [Education and Career Development], and Handy Homes [Housing Assistance].
