You are invited to an unforgettable evening of live music and classic cinema as Great Music at St. Gregory’s celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic 1925 silent film THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, starring Lon Chaney. Accompanying the film will be Tim Brumfield, St. Gregory\’s Director of Music Ministries, Organist, and Choirmaster. Join Tim as he brings the film to life with a captivating performance on St. Gregory’s magnificent Austin pipe organ.
This special event will take place Wednesday, October 29, in the Sanctuary and promises to be a thrilling experience, blending timeless cinema with the stirring sound of live organ music.

5:30 PM – The Behind the Curtain Experience: A Rare Look into the World of Silent Film Movie Magic. ($75pp)
Join organist Tim Brumfield as he takes you behind the scenes for an in-depth exploration into how he creates the musical score for the silent film, The Phantom of the Opera. You’ll see the mighty pipe organ up close and discover how the magic happens! The experience begins with Tim in the organ loft, followed by a private champagne reception in the Courtyard, and concludes with the screening of the film.

7:00 PM – FREE General Admission: St. Gregory’s is excited to offer General Admission seating at no cost for this popular community event. Beginning at 7:00 PM, guests are invited to join us for the screening of The Phantom of the Opera with live accompaniment on our majestic Austin pipe organ. Come and share in this unforgettable evening of music, film, and fellowship in the beauty of St. Gregory’s sanctuary. Tickets are not required for General Admission.
