Fort Lauderdale’s First SEV MedSpa Opens

The brand has been touted by Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Chrissy Teigen.

SEV, a spa brand with over 40 U.S. locations and numerous celebrity endorsements, has revealed the launch of its latest spa in Fort Lauderdale at 701 N. Federal Highway near Flagler Village. The expansion aligns with SEV’s ambitious goal to strengthen its national footprint and aims to reach 50 units by the year’s end, effectively doubling its current size. It offers advanced technology and services for laser hair removal, injectables, body contouring and other aesthetic treatments. For a limited time, SEV is offering new clients a special Community Welcome promotion, which includes 50% off their first laser hair removal appointment.

Sevana Petrosian established SEV in 2010 as a small business within a Glendale, California, hair salon. The company aimed to provide a luxurious experience at an affordable and transparent price. SEV has rapidly become a popular destination for celebrities from Beverly Hills and West Hollywood who need top-notch and empathetic laser aesthetics services.

“When I launched SEV, most med spas were owned by men. I wanted to create a space that felt more like a cozy, welcoming home than a clinical setting—designed to be inviting for both women and men,” Petrosian says. “Each SEV location offers comfort and ease for a treatment that could feel sensitive and vulnerable. We strive to provide the best service in each beautifully crafted space, ensuring an upscale yet affordable experience for every client.”

The Fort Lauderdale opening will be the third location in Florida and the 44th SEV location. The medical spa will begin by offering laser hair removal services and intends to introduce more services in the coming months, such as injectable procedures and advanced skin and body treatments. According to Petrosian, each location embodies a commitment to comfort, a sophisticated atmosphere, and inclusivity, guaranteeing all clients a remarkable and empowering experience.

“Our brand philosophy is rooted in providing an upscale yet accessible experience,” says Arno Avasapian, CMO of SEV Laser. “We’ve always prioritized a welcoming atmosphere over the clinical feel of traditional med spas. This approach, combined with our state-of-the-art technology and exceptional customer service, sets us apart.”

Drew Limsky

Editor-in-Chief

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico. His other clients have included Four Seasons, Acqualina Resort & Residences, Yahoo!, American Airlines, Wynn, Douglas Elliman and Corcoran. As an adjunct assistant professor, Limsky has taught journalism, film and creative writing at the City University of New York, Pace University, American University and other colleges.
