Honorees Announced for Business Community Ally Awards 

The GLBX (Gay and Lesbian Business Exchange) of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce recently announced the honorees for its fourth annual Business Community Ally (BCA) Awards. The event will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 at Galleria Fort Lauderdale to recognize and highlight individuals and corporate entities successfully doing business with the LGBT+ community, as well as implementing diversity and inclusion policies or supporting worthy related causes.

This year’s honorees are Stephanie Schneider of Law Office of Stephanie L. Schneider P.A. (Business Ally), Wells Fargo (Business Leader), Jimmy Cunningham of Cunningham Smith Group of Remax Experience (Legacy ), Jacqueline Lorber and Sebrina Maria Alfonso of South Florida Symphony Orchestra (Impact ) and Fort Lauderdale City Commissioner Steve Glassman (Visionary).

“The GLBX Council of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce is pleased to honor Broward County’s individuals and corporate community leaders who are paving the way toward a more inclusive LGBT+ community,” Daren Painter says, GLBX board chair. “Today, more than ever, it’s important for us to spotlight those who are progressively embracing diversity, challenging standards and contributing toward a more robust business economy for all.”

During a networking cocktail reception, guests can enjoy wine, light bites and entertainment along with the awards ceremony presented by local business leaders and sponsors. The GLBX Business Community Ally Awards are presented by Memorial Healthcare System and sponsored by Galleria Fort Lauderdale, Season’s 52, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants and Goodman Public Relations.

Tickets for the GLBX BCA Awards are $55 for members and $65 for non-members and can be purchased at www.ftlchamber.com/bca. Complimentary valet parking is included in the ticket price.
