Iconic Fashion Brand Secures Lease in Brickell City Centre’s Only Remaining Anchor Space

H&M occupies two levels and more than 25,000 square feet.

The Shops at Brickell City Centre (BCC) in Miami is set to broaden its retail offerings with the arrival of the international fashion leader, H&M. The addition of H&M is just the beginning of several new leases at the city’s top retail and lifestyle destination developed by Swire Properties, that will contribute to the diversification of the BCC experience while also driving the Centre towards reaching full occupancy (100% leased) for the first time since its launch in 2016.

H&M Brickell will carry fashion pieces, affordable wardrobe essentials, and complete-the-look accessories for women, men, and kids. The store will have upgraded finishes, including tile flooring, exceptional tile detailing, open-air ceilings, a grand staircase, guest lounge areas, and a large-scale screen showcasing H&M’s latest campaigns.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, almost half of Americans have no shared space for leisure and community engagement. So, Brickell City Centre introduced a central and easily accessible gathering place for the locals, providing customized retail, dining, and entertainment experiences for all. The influx of new residents to Miami since 2020 has significantly impacted the city’s demographics. BCC has quickly adapted to these changes by offering diverse shops catering to its clientele. As a result, while many shopping destinations across the country face challenges, BCC stands out as a thriving hub for the community.

Since 2020, The Shops at BCC has introduced 24 new brands to its retail landscape. BCC experienced a remarkable 21.4% increase in foot traffic and a 13% year-over-year surge in retail sales throughout 2023 compared to the figures from 2022. BCC achieved record visitors during the 2023 holiday season, reflecting the destination’s unprecedented growth in the four years since the pandemic. This accomplishment is attributed to the Centre’s careful curation of its tenant mix over the same period. H&M is set to join the Centre’s top-performing brands, such as Zara, Levi’s, and Chanel Fragrance and Beauty Boutique.

“Among the world’s leading retailers, H&M is an ideal and exciting addition to the dynamic Brickell City Centre shopping experience,” says David Martin, Senior Vice President at Swire Properties. “We are pleased to be the first to welcome H&M to Brickell and offer our loyal visitors in greater Downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods yet another national shopping brand to complement BCC’s tenants that cater to the area’s younger consumer base and tastes. H&M complements our refreshed retail mix and further positions BCC as the foremost retail destination for residents and visitors of Brickell and beyond.”

H&M will be on Level 2 of North Block in Suite 281C at Brickell City Centre, 701 S. Miami Ave. For more information about new tenants and leasing opportunities, visit www.brickellcitycentre.com
