Iconic Oceanfront Estate in Palm Beach Listed for $35 Million

The Viento y Mar estate atĀ 2817 N Ocean Blvd. in Gulf StreamĀ is poised to set a real estate record for the area after the 8-bedroom waterfront estate was listed for $35 million byĀ Premier Estate Properties, a privately held boutique brokerage specializing in properties over $1 million. If the asking price is met, it will be the most expensive home to sell in Gulf Stream.

The unique 1920’s compound in front of the ocean has been artfully restored with curated finishes to produce a one-of-a-kind beachfront paradise. The estate features a main house, gatehouse, lush courtyards, garden house and gym. Society architect Howard Brougham designed the historic oceanfront mansion built in 1926. It sits on over 1.32 acres of oceanfront land and comes with a 20-by-40-foot saltwater pool, cabanas and Spanish tiled murals custom-created by artist Jose Manuel Tos. Other notable features of the over 12,627 square-foot property include tranquil ocean views from all the main rooms, 19th-century ironwork, cypress-lined cathedral ceilings, and flooring featuring antique reclaimed limestone, sandstone, and hardwood, and antique French blanc-rose terracotta tile.
