José Andrés Group to Launch Mediterranean Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach

The opening by the end of the year will be Zaytinya's third location, which opened in 2002 in Washington, DC.

The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach will soon be home to Zaytinya, the popular Mediterranean restaurant by José Andrés. Zaytinya is celebrated as a top dining destination in Washington, D.C., with a second location that opened in July 2022 at The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad.

All food and beverage operations at the luxury hotel in Miami Beach, including the restaurants, lobby bar, Ritz Club lounge, and in-room dining, will be taken over by The José Andrés Group. The group plans to open Zaytinya in the space currently occupied by Fuego y Mar Mediterranean restaurant. Previously, Andrés had a restaurant in Miami Beach, The Bazaar by José Andrés, which closed earlier this year at the SLS South Beach hotel.

Zaytinya is named after the Turkish word for “olive oil,” and its menu is inspired by Turkish, Greek and Lebanese cuisine. The restaurant group will begin hiring for positions at Zaytinya shortly. The José Andrés Group operates over 30 restaurants across the U.S., Bahamas, and United Arab Emirates.
