Junior Achievement of South Florida to Host Business Hall of Fame Event

To help honor South Florida business and community leaders who use their vision, leadership and innovation to help enhance the local community, the Junior Achievement of South Florida is hosting its Business Hall of Fame event. The evening will last from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. on May 13 at the JA World Huizenga Center at the Lillian S. Wells Pavilion at 1130 Coconut Creek Blvd. in Coconut Creek. Guests are asked to wear cocktail attire.

The annual event began in 1981 as a way to recognize and honor the positive impact local business and community leaders have had on the South Florida community. Along with the Hall of Fame ceremony, two recipients will be honored with the Melissa Aiello Character Award and Huizenga Lifetime Legacy Award for their dedication to the local community.

Since its inception in 1959 by the Fort Lauderdale Rotary Club, Junior Achievement of South Florida has helped over 1 million students through financial and work-related educational programs. In 2009, the nonprofit organization opened the JA World Huizenga Center at the Lillian S. Wells Pavilion to expand its services which reach 54,000 students annually.
