LifeNet4Families to Benefit From 22nd Annual Andy’s Family Pasta

The nonprofit serves as a pathway to stability for Broward County individuals struggling with hunger, homelessness, and poverty.

The 22nd Annual Andy’s Family Pasta Dinner, which supports LifeNet4Families, will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 18 at the Signature Grand in Davie. Andy Cagnetta, the CEO of Transworld Business Advisors, hosts the event. LifeNet4Families is an organization that provides food, ancillary services, and referrals to those in need in Broward County, Florida. Andy’s Family Pasta Dinner has been a significant fundraiser for LifeNet4Families since 2003, raising over $2.3 million, translating to almost 2,000,000 meals for homeless and needy families in Broward County.

Every year, Andy’s Family Pasta Dinner acknowledges honorary chefs for their contributions towards the betterment of the South Florida community. The event features silent and live auctions, fun activities for children, and a traditional family-style pasta dinner. This year’s event is sponsored by Transworld Business Advisors as the Title Sponsor and UKG as the Presenting Sponsor. Signature Grand will host the event, and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital will serve as the Jr. Chef Sponsor.

LifeNet4 Families has been serving Broward County for over 37 years, focusing on providing food and nutrition, promoting health and well-being, and enabling sustainability. The organization started by distributing a few peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to individuals experiencing homelessness but has grown to provide more than 90,000 meals annually, reflecting the increasing numbers and needs of people experiencing poverty in the community.

Tickets for Andy’s Family Pasta Dinner are $50 per adult; two adult tickets are $100 and three adult tickets are $125; children 12 and under are free.

Tickets can be purchased at Andyspastadinner.com.

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico.
