Miami Virtual Reality Studio Launches Game on Meta Quest

AEXLAB is a pioneer in developing cutting-edge software utilizing virtual reality technology to create an unparalleled combat game.

AEXLAB, a virtual reality studio based in Miami that focuses on developing innovative technologies for gaming, simulation, social experiences, and other applications, has officially launched its much-awaited VAIL VR game on Meta Quest. VAIL VR is a first-person multiplayer shooter that aims to transform the VR gaming industry with its dynamic gameplay and engaging social interactions, offering an unparalleled combat experience.

In VAIL, players find themselves in a future Earth divided between two factions: the Colonists and the REYAB Corporation. This division creates a conflict that sets the stage for strategic teamplay and dynamic, immersive battles. While the game’s lore enriches its universe, VAIL’s core lies in its player-driven tactical gunplay and combat competition. Victory in VAIL is achieved through strategy, skill, and teamwork, all essential components of the game’s competitive experience.

AEXLAB, co-founded by Albert and Jonathan Ovadia in 2017, is a leading market player in cutting-edge software development that utilizes virtual reality technology. Their latest product, VAIL VR, emphasizes tactical gunplay and combat, promoting team-based action that requires teamwork to achieve victory. The software provides gamers with high-quality and immersive interactions, making it popular among gaming enthusiasts.

VAIL VR was first introduced in November 2022 as an Early Access title on SteamVR and later on Meta Quest 2, 3, and Pro through the Meta App Lab. The VR game has undergone seven years of diligent development and has been iterated with the community’s help. Recently, VAIL VR has moved out of its early access phase and is now available for $29.99, which marks a significant milestone in the VR gaming industry.

“The journey of bringing VAIL VR to life has been nothing short of exhilarating,” Jonathan Ovadia says, CEO of AEXLAB, and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree. “We are thrilled to finally unveil the culmination of years of hard work and dedication to the VR community. “With VAIL VR, we aim to deliver an immersive gaming experience that pushes the boundaries of virtual reality.”

The latest version of VAIL VR, VAIL VR 1.0, has introduced a new feature called Quick Play matchmaking that allows players to join games effortlessly and start competing without delay. With the new progression system, players can level up from 0 to 50 and earn rewards such as weapons, sights, and emblems. In addition to these rewards, players can unlock exclusive weapons and character skins, providing them with more customization options and strategic advantages.

Furthermore, VAIL VR has integrated leaderboards and comprehensive stats tracking, allowing players to compete for daily, weekly, and all-time rankings. This feature showcases the players’ progress and skill level in the VAIL universe, challenging them to improve their gaming prowess and achieve higher rankings.

“Launching on the Meta Quest App is an important milestone for the groundbreaking team at AEXLAB,” Jeff Ransdell says, Founder and Managing Director at Fuel Venture Capital. “There’s nothing like VAIL VR out there on the market.”

AEXLAB, a leading company in the virtual reality market, is engaging some of the biggest names in esports and media with their immersive VR experiences. The company aims to constantly push the boundaries of technology to provide gamers with high-quality, interactive, and social gaming experiences that are both engaging and cutting-edge.
