Experience a sense of adventure and culinary pleasure at sea.

Scenic Luxury Cruises and Tours invites culinary enthusiasts and travel enthusiasts to experience the Tastes of Discovery Series, an unparalleled journey that takes passengers along the immaculate Kimberley coastline in Australia and the lively east coast of South America. This exceptional series opens the door to a world of taste, providing a distinctive combination of adventure and culinary pleasure.

The Tastes of Discovery series is designed to provide an unforgettable culinary experience that engages all the senses. Guests can enjoy a hand-picked selection of interactive cooking demonstrations, intimate meet-and-greets with celebrated chefs, and exclusive dining experiences that showcase local ingredients and traditions. The event lineup also features special activities like welcome cocktail parties, cooking challenges, and immersive pop-up restaurants, all carefully crafted to create an immersive and memorable culinary journey.

The Tastes of Discovery Series is set to feature world-renowned chefs who will bring their unique cultural flair to the program. Chef Tom Goetter, Scenic Group’s VP Oceans Hotel Operations and the mastermind behind the Scenic Eclipse Discovery Yachts culinary program, is also the visionary behind the series. Chef Goetter is renowned for his innovative approach to blending age-old traditions with contemporary trends. Accompanying him in the series are chefs Dale MacKay and Gabri Rodriguez, who are both widely celebrated for their pioneering contributions to the culinary arts.

“I am honored to kick off this Tastes of Discovery Series with incredible chefs that I am lucky to call friends,” says Chef Tom Goetter. “Chef Dale has had the privilege of working with masters like Gordon Ramsay and Daniel Boulud, culminating in his triumph on the first season of Top Chef Canada. Known for his victory on Top Chef Mexico, Chef Gabri is an inspiration, having ascended from a dishwasher at the acclaimed Pujol to the force he is now. Together, we will curate exclusive menus and an immersive experience that will leave guests satiated yet hungry for more.”

Currently, the Tastes of Discovery Series is available via the following itineraries, with more delicious collaborations to come:

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico.
