Introducing the Next Level of Luxury: Scenic Group’s Emerald Kaia Yacht

The ship will explore sought-after coastlines from the Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Aegean Seas to the Seychelles.

Emerald Cruises continues to push the limits of luxury at sea with the unveiling of Emerald Kaia, a luxurious yacht aiming to redefine sea travel. The next-generation yacht measures 393 feet in length and has six guest decks. It is designed to cater to the traveler’s desire for space and wellness, boasting enhancements such as a 50% expansion of the wellness area and increased ceiling heights of up to 10 feet across the main deck.

The yacht merges increased capacity with an intimate ambiance capable of accommodating 128 guests with ease. The innovative yacht underscores Emerald Cruises’ (part of Scenic Group) pioneering spirit in luxury yacht cruising. The yacht’s Sky Deck has been expanded, and a new internal Sky Lounge has been incorporated. This feature offers guests a luxurious open-air experience with expansive panoramic views. All cabins and suites have a 10% larger floor plan, providing guests with extra comfort through spacious and contemporary accommodations. Emerald Kaia also boasts enhanced dining venues, a reimagined gym, spa, and wellness features, promising an unrivaled superyacht experience.

Emerald Kaia, with its significant design and amenity enhancements, marks a pivotal expansion for our fleet,” Glen Moroney says, Chairman and Founder of Scenic Group. “It builds on the strengths of Emerald Sakara and Emerald Azzurra, allowing us to offer unmatched superyacht experiences along the world’s most captivating coastlines.”

Along with the unveiling of Emerald Kaia, Scenic Group’s Discovery Yachts, Scenic Eclipse and its sister ship Scenic Eclipse II will undergo significant enhancements.

Before the Mediterranean season begins, Scenic Eclipse’s Senses Spa is scheduled to receive a dry dock upgrade in April. The upgrade will match Scenic Eclipse II’s aesthetic and innovative features, thereby elevating the wellness experience to new heights.

Another luxurious introduction at sea from Scenic Group is the custom-designed Scenic Neptune II submersible and four state-of-the-art SEABOBs aboard Scenic Eclipse II, catering to the adventurous spirit of guests. These new sea toys and the discovery vessel offer a unique opportunity to explore the depths of the ocean and world-renowned coral reefs. The first season of this experience has recently commenced in the South Pacific, Australia and East Antarctica. The brand’s unwavering commitment to excellence and passion for revealing the unseen wonders of the world in unrivaled ultra-luxury is underscored by the addition of these enhancements, combined with two helicopters.

BIOGRAPHY

Drew Limsky joined Lifestyle Media Group in August 2020 as Editor-in-Chief of South Florida Business & Wealth. His first issue of SFBW, October 2020, heralded a reimagined structure, with new content categories and a slew of fresh visual themes. “As sort of a cross between Forbes and Robb Report, with a dash of GQ and Vogue,” Limsky says, “SFBW reflects South Florida’s increasingly sophisticated and dynamic business and cultural landscape.”

Limsky, an avid traveler, swimmer and film buff who holds a law degree and Ph.D. from New York University, likes to say, “I’m a doctor, but I can’t operate—except on your brand.” He wrote his dissertation on the nonfiction work of Joan Didion. Prior to that, Limsky received his B.A. in English, summa cum laude, from Emory University and earned his M.A. in literature at American University in connection with a Masters Scholar Award fellowship.

Limsky came to SFBW at the apex of a storied career in journalism and publishing that includes six previous lead editorial roles, including for some of the world’s best-known brands. He served as global editor-in-chief of Lexus magazine, founding editor-in-chief of custom lifestyle magazines for Cadillac and Holland America Line, and was the founding editor-in-chief of Modern Luxury Interiors South Florida. He also was the executive editor for B2B magazines for Acura and Honda Financial Services, and he served as travel editor for Conde Nast. Magazines under Limsky’s editorship have garnered more than 75 industry awards.

He has also written for many of the country’s top newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, Boston Globe, USA Today, Worth, Robb Report, Afar, Time Out New York, National Geographic Traveler, Men’s Journal, Ritz-Carlton, Elite Traveler, Florida Design, Metropolis and Architectural Digest Mexico. His other clients have included Four Seasons, Acqualina Resort & Residences, Yahoo!, American Airlines, Wynn, Douglas Elliman and Corcoran. As an adjunct assistant professor, Limsky has taught journalism, film and creative writing at the City University of New York, Pace University, American University and other colleges.
