South Motors Honda Unveils $6.2 Million Showroom in Miami

Miller Construction Company recently completed the new South Motors Honda Showroom in Miami to help enhance how customers purchase vehicles. Located within South Motors’ automotive complex at 16165 S. Dixie Highway, the $6.2 million project includes a café, dining area and boutique.

“With our clients’ needs at the forefront of everything we do, our first priority was to ensure continuous operation of the Honda dealership during the construction process,” Brian Sudduth says, president of Miller Construction. “Seamless coordination with South Motors created a safe environment for clients and employees.”

The single-story, 16,696-square-foot showroom features a 30-foot-high grand entry constructed of exterior metal framing and glass and is wrapped with aluminum composite panel (ACM) cladding. The high-profile exterior includes a wave-like overhang built of steel and clad with ACM panels. The showroom also features a durable, environmentally friendly thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roof that helps conserve energy and control operating costs.

“We are thrilled to make this investment in our Honda dealership and continue to offer our clients the best car shopping experience possible,” Jonathan Chariff says, South Motors CEO. “We look forward to all the great things ahead with the most state-of-the-art facility in the Southeast.”

During construction, Miller created temporary facilities, including new service drive lanes and office trailers for the dealership, along with temporary walkways that ensured safety and the continued operation of the dealership. South Motors’ nearby Honda Certified Pre-Owned showroom was repurposed to accommodate all Honda sales. The project team was led by M.A. Gensler, Jr. and Associates, Inc. and included Kamm Consulting of Deerfield Beach, Fla. (MEP), LA Fuess Partners of Dallas (structural) and Graef of Miami (civil).
