The Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation is gearing up to host an event poised to significantly impact South Florida’s innovation ecosystem. The 3rd Annual South Florida Innovation Day will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 18, uniting the most brilliant minds and influential stakeholders from the region, known for its vibrant cultural scene and thriving economy.
Partnering with eMerge Americas and sponsored by 35 Mules, an in-house innovation hub supported by Florida Power & Light (FPL), the event is designed to foster a blend of ideas, partnerships and technological progress. This year’s event, held at the vibrant Levan Center of Innovation, is expected to be larger and more influential than ever.
“South Florida Innovation Day is a testament to the incredible talent and potential within our region,” John Wensveen says, Ph.D., NSU’s Chief Innovation Officer and Executive Director of the Alan B. Levan | NSU Broward Center of Innovation. “At the Levan Center of Innovation, we are dedicated to fostering an ecosystem where ideas can flourish, and this event is a cornerstone in our mission to drive technological advancement and entrepreneurial success. We are proud to partner with eMerge Americas and 35 Mules to bring together such a dynamic community of innovators.”
As soon as the doors open, attendees will be surrounded by innovation. The “collision station” will serve as the focal point, providing a space for entrepreneurs, industry leaders, government officials, academia, funders, professional networks, and service providers to engage and establish valuable connections.
The main theme of this year’s event is Manufacturing and specific sessions cover Emerging Technology, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, and Healthcare. These sessions will include panel discussions with industry experts, interactive workshops, and pitching opportunities for entrepreneurs supported by eMerge Americas. This offers startups a platform to present their ideas and receive valuable feedback.
One of the day’s highlights is the Startup Pitch Event at 5 p.m. Entrepreneurs will pitch their innovative solutions to a panel of judges in hopes of securing support and investment. Following this high-energy session, a VIP reception at 6:15 p.m. will provide an exclusive networking opportunity with key influencers and decision-makers.
In addition to the networking and educational opportunities, participants will also have the chance to explore a Business Expo, which will feature the latest products and services from various fields of innovation. Information about the Levan Center’s Founder’s Journey programs—Ideate, Incubate, Accelerate and Post-Accelerate—will also be readily accessible, offering valuable insights for entrepreneurs at all stages of their business journey. Other important programs like Veterans Entrepreneurship and LEVL5: SPACE DOCK at NSU™ will be highlighted, demonstrating the center’s dedication to promoting diverse and inclusive innovation.
Tickets for the full-day event, which includes a boxed lunch, are $20. VIP tickets, offering access to the evening reception with hors d’oeuvres and drinks, are available for $50. Combo tickets, including full-day and VIP access, are also available for $70. Prices will increase after Sept. 6. Interested participants can secure their spots at www.sflinnovationday.com.
