With 18 years in hospitality, Cody Bertone has built his career across Florida and Louisiana.

Cody Bertone has been named the new general manager of W Fort Lauderdale. With 18 years in hospitality, he’s built his career across Florida and Louisiana. He started in housekeeping at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort, subsequently holding roles at top properties like Loews New Orleans, Omni Royal Crescent, and Renaissance Baton Rouge. In Florida, he helped open Loews Sapphire Falls and led guest services at Cabana Bay. He later returned to New Orleans as GM of the Pontchartrain Hotel, which earned national acclaim under his leadership. Most recently, he opened Virgin Hotels New Orleans, quickly guiding it to the top spot on TripAdvisor and earning recognition as a “GM to Watch” by Hotel Management. Now, he brings that momentum to Fort Lauderdale.
