Westlake in Palm Beach County Receives Top Master-Planned Community Ranking by John Burns

Westlake in Palm Beach County, a master-planned community being developed by Minto Communities USA, was recently named in the John Burns Real Estate Consulting list of Top 50 Master-Planned Communities in the U.S. for 2022. Minto is approved to build 4,500 homes and more than two million square feet of nonresidential space in the 3,800-acre master-planned community. It offers townhomes, single family homes and estate homes starting in the $400s in several neighborhoods within Westlake. The Westlake Adventure Park amenity includes a lagoon-style pool with waterslide, splash pad, poolside concessions, BMX pump park, playground, expansive lawn area with concert pavilion and food truck court for community events, plus bocce ball courts and a dog park. Minto is underway with phase two amenity construction, including an adult lap pool, multi-purpose building and basketball courts.

Along with Westlake, Minto had three other master-planned communities named on the John Burns Real Estate Consulting list. All four Minto communities were ranked among the top 25, including Latitude Margaritaville communities in Daytona Beach, Watersound and Hilton Head, South Carolina. John Burns Real Estate Consulting, LLC provides independent research and consulting services to the U.S. housing industry. The annual rankings are based on new home sales and other factors, including range, types and prices of homes; consistent themes in signage, landscaping, lighting, and street names; and amenities and activities for various lifestyles.

According to Minto Communities USA President Mike Belmont, Minto had 2,152 sales and 1,762 closings within their communities in Florida and South Carolina. Minto ended the year with 2,481 sold homes in backlog, representing over $1 billion in sales revenue, a new record for Minto Communities USA.

“Minto is honored to have four of our five active communities recognized among the top 25 Master-PlannedCommunities in the U.S.,” Belmont says. “We continually strive to build upon our reputation for quality, innovation and value. Our growing success is in great part attributable to our team of dedicated and seasoned professionals who share Minto’s commitment to providing an outstanding customer experience while meeting and surpassing the expectations of our home buyers.”
