“In high school, I was a math-science nerd, so I wanted to become a physician. When I realized in my organic chemistry lab in college that I did not have the visual skills to be a physician, the other skill at which I excelled was college debate. That left one apparent career route – the law. After graduating from law school and practicing law for several years, I discovered my passion for helping persons with disabilities and children at risk. That is when my legal career blossomed.”
