The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino set the stage for an unforgettable evening: Havana Nights Cars & Cigars Experience. Guests were immersed in the allure of Cuban cuisine, surrounded by exotic, luxury vehicles, the sweet scent of premium cigars and the rhythmic beats that filled the air. Beyond the glitz and glamour, the true heart of the evening lay in its philanthropic mission. The event served as a powerful platform to raise awareness and funds for the Dan Marino Foundation’s initiatives, supporting individuals with autism. Through the generosity of attendees and sponsors over the years, this event has raised $5.5 million, creating a lasting impact.
The Dan Marino Foundation has a long and distinguished history of life-changing programs and services, which Dan and Claire Marino founded after their son, Michael, was diagnosed with autism in 1992. The Foundation ensures that support is given to those who need it by allocating ninety-four cents of every dollar donated toward programs and other initiatives. These programs have included the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Dan Marino Outpatient Center, Marino Autism Research Institute, Marino Adapted Aquatics, Marino Campus accredited post-secondary schools, Hub2Connect and local and nationwide autism organizations. The Foundation has received awards for technological innovation from partners, including Google, the NFL Foundation, and Magic Leap, an app available to individuals to practice job interviews and improve social skills, leading to independence and a brighter future.
