American Heritage Schools in Broward and Palm Beach have announced their summer programs for 2024, including Day Camp and Summer Education, will be available both in-person and online. The programs will run for nine weeks, beginning on June 10 and ending on Aug. 9. American Heritage Schools offers summer camp programs that cater to children between the ages of 3 and 13. These programs include Day Camps and specialty camps such as Robotics, Art, Science, Musical Theatre, Video Production, and Sports camps. The availability of specialty camps varies by campus. During the camp, each child is provided with age-appropriate activities supervised by American Heritage Schools’ highly qualified staff.
The camp offers co-ed cabins for children ages 3 to 5 and separate cabins for boys and girls ages 6 to 13. During the school year, these cabins serve as classrooms and are air-conditioned for the campers’ comfort. The children enjoy decorating their cabins to reflect the unique theme of each cabin.
The camp schedules age-appropriate field trips to provide a broader range of recreational options for campers aged 8-13. The transportation services are provided and managed by American Heritage Schools, ensuring that all drivers are fully licensed and have undergone proper screening. Off-campus directors and an appropriate number of counselors closely supervise each field trip. Before the start of the camp, all campers are given a schedule of activities.
The summer camps at American Heritage Schools are overseen by state-certified teachers and college or high school students who undergo a rigorous screening process. Many camp counselors are alumni or current school students or have been CITs or campers for many years. All counselors are well-trained in safety and camp policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all campers.
